Hail Mary @robynmgeorge @numberssolutions

A class of 2024 Textile and Fashion Design student, Robyn George is the Creative Director of Numbers Design Solutions and founder of The Issue. Her Spring/Summer 2025 collection titled “Let the Flowers Speak” explores themes of gender identity while drawing visual inspiration from the natural world. In line with her goals surrounding environmental sustainability, each look in this collection is made using upcycled material or employs a zero-waste or size-adaptive design.

@edenmeidl

I’m a Senior studying Textiles and Fashion Design with an intense background in Fine Arts. I am from Madison, WI and am extremely excited to be partaking in my first ever runway show as a designer. My collection aims to incorporate traditional silhouettes and construction of both men’s and women’s wear into a single style meant to be worn without gender. I prioritize enhancing androgyny through sophisticated patterning, detailed sketching and structured design. The collection showcases hand embellishments and slow-process pieces highlighting this time-based craft.

LLORE

@lisaa_baabyy

@llore.apparel

Lisa Lor is from Milwaukee, WI. She majored in Textile and Fashion Design. LLORE designs focuses on contemporary fashion design with a little spin of couture inspiration.

For LLORE S/S’24 collection, the focus of the designs is bringing boring and gloomy colors into light with the addition of soft ruffles; including a mixture of soft and bland, experimenting direction and placements.

GRACIE HARSHAW

Gracie Harshaw

@luckygrlgracie

I’m a senior currently pursuing a Textile and Fashion Design major after transferring from the Arts department. I’m from La Crosse, WI and have been so charmed by Madison. I have always loved creating and am very grateful to be able to spend my time doing so. She’s getting married! Her party will be lavish and lovely and empty of expectations. This collection evokes a feeling of play and lust; adoration for the hidden. An invitation to dance encumbered by the weight of fabric and regulation. The stripped down opulence provokes those who regard modesty as a virtue rather than an option.

Blah Blah Blah

@lilyrogers.26

@blahx3_official

A current sophomore at UW Madison studying Fashion and Textiles Design as well as Sustainability. Lily Rogers grew up in Cedarburg, Wisconsin with a passion for handcrafting and the outdoors. Coming from an artistic family of six, she has always been driven by the idea of community, the environment, and utilizing the resources that she has at her disposal. The Vulcan, inspired by the architectural composure of UW Madison’s Observatory Building, challenges the juxtaposition of structure and fluidity. By marrying elements of the buildings’ history and form, each piece carries a relevance to the buildings’ backstory.

OLIVE BOTE

Indecent by Olive

@o1iviacore

@badartistg0odart

I’m a sophomore pursuing a Textile and Fashion Design major and Mathematics certificate. I am from Middleton, WI and proudly rep Madison as my home! With a background in fiber arts and freelance commissions, I am most excited by textures and volume. Indecent. A loud, flamboyant, unflinching collection celebrating the queer identity in all its forms. A thank you to the 14 year old admins running gay Instagram accounts when I was in middle school. A love letter to my friends. A warm hug for myself. “Indecent” is a four look collection juxtaposing innocence and repressed creativity with self-expression and exploration.

YASMIN HILL

Yaz

@yasminnhill @yazzzified

I am a junior Textiles and Fashion Design major from Westchester, New York. My designs take heavy inspiration the patterns and color palettes found in my Moroccan culture, as well as themes from my childhood.

Matthew Lyga @roachieq

This collection explores the boundless creativity housed within minds of our inner child. Tapping into this part of ourselves is a healing, nostalgic process and is vital to self-expression.

Matthew Lyga is a Madison based designer and student studying Textile and Fashion Design at UW Madison. His primary interests in design are maximalism, texture, and most of all attention to detail. He is most heavily inspired by needle crafts and vintage fashion silhouettes. His favorite activity at the fabric and craft store is touching and feeling every fabric that catches his eye.

DESIGNER BIOGRAPHIES

Athea Lynn @_athea @atheamakes

From my great-grandmothers, esteemed quilters on both sides, I inherit a tradition steeped in honor and devotion. Their quilts, crafted with meticulous care and profound affection, epitomized patience and love. Tenderly bestowed upon newlyweds, birthday celebrants, and newborns, these quilts were cherished until threadbare from use. My forthcoming collection is an ode to this legacy, a celebration of love, patience, and life’s cyclical nature.

Nina

@ninacrull

@ninasgall3ry

Hello! My name is Nina Crull and I am from McFarland, WI. Growing up around here, I always loved going to Badger game days and soon fell in love with UW-Madison’s campus. I’m currently majoring in Fashion Design, with a Certificate in Business and plan to spend my senior year at the Fashion Institute of Technology, pursuing their Fashion Business Management shared student program. My dream is to one day start my own sustainable brand and open a storefront boutique where I can also give other artists a place to sell their work.

Feminin Divin

@dani.elleeee

@dani.elle.art.and.fashion

Danielle is a sophomore from Skokie, IL pursuing a degree in Fashion and Textile Design with a certificate in Arts and Teaching.

Feminin Dîvin is a rejection of our society’s demonization of overt femininity. Feminin Dîvin embraces femininity with open arms and brings us back to the beauty of femininity, that we so often lose through cultural practices.

Collection.1 is the creation of something fascinating using a limited color story. It uses a range of earth tones with black as a base. Through the manipulation of familiar silhouettes and the addition of unique style choices, collection.1 continues the tradition of creating visual intrigue through more than just color.

QSM Designs by Mia Quilting Staszcuk aims to craft unique, modular pieces that embrace a blend of suggestiveness and youthfulness. Drawing inspiration from her Lola who sewed clothes for her family in the Philippines, QSM is dedicated to infusing sustainability and ethics into creations.
