R. Estates’ mayor only contested race

Three village elections will take place in Roslyn March 21, with only the mayoral race of Roslyn Estates drawing multiple candidates vying for the position.

The three villages hosting elections are Roslyn Estates, East Hills and Roslyn.

Roslyn Estates has three offices up for election: mayor and two trustee positions. Those positions are currently filled by Mayor Paul Peters, Trustee Susan Rubinstein and Brett Auerbach.

Peters is being challenged by Roslyn Estates resident Todd Teichman.

Peters has been Roslyn Estate’s mayor for the past six years and is running on the Sunshine Party line. Prior to his time as mayor, Peters was a member of the village’s Board of Zoning Appeals and a trustee for the village.

Teichman has lived in Roslyn Estates for 2 1/2 years and has not served in the village government to date. He is running on the Roslyn Estates Party line. Teichman currently works in medical sales and has been in the field for 25 years.
