G.N. North graduate Ned Dubofsky dies

Ned Dubofsky, a Great Neck North graduate and insurance company executive, died last week at 54.

It is unknown the exact date and manner of his death.

Dubofsky graduated from Great Neck North High School in 1987, afterward attending and graduating from George Washington University. He was a lifelong member of Camp Winaukee.

He was vice president of business development for NFP, whose holdings include BWD Sports and Entertainment, a company serving sports leagues, owners and players.

Dubofsky’s funeral was held at Temple Beth Shalom in Roslyn on Feb. 12, a place in which the family celebrated their happy and sad moments.

“Ned was my life,” his wife Lindsay said at the funeral. ”He was the funniest, craziest, most obsessive, determined, magnetic but sensitive and thoughtful person that I knew. Ned had such a huge, magical presence, people
