Firefighters responded to a prairie fire travelling east of Biggar, May 16. The fire was probably started by a train, and with the strong winds, sparks hit the dry grass creating an inferno. The fire burnt between the CN and CP tracks, jumping the rail in several areas, setting fire to numerous acres of stubble. Four family farms were threatened, but with the help of firefighters from Biggar and Perdue as well as many area farmers with double discs and water trucks, all farms were saved. However, some older yards were not spared. The fire also spread north of Highway 14, causing a closure that lasted for several hours before firefighters and area farmers brought the blaze under control.

RCMP lay drug trafficking charges after search of rural Biggar property Saskatchewan RCMP officers conducted a search at a rural property, 27 kilometres north of Biggar, in the RM of Glenside, May 15, as part of an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances.

Officers conducted a thorough search of a residence, two outbuildings and two vehicles located on the property. As a result of these searches, officers located and

seized a significant quantity of extremely dangerous drugs including: • 1,000 grams of methamphetamine; • 444 grams of fentanyl, equating to 4,400 single doses; • 3,035 millilitres of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB); • 500 alazopram (Xanax) pills; • 400 tabs of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).

Other items relating

to the trafficking of controlled substances were seized, including: • $16,080 in Canadian currency; • two money counters; • scales, packaging for drugs; • eight cell phones and several computers and tablets.

Officers also recovered several weapons including a semi-automatic assault rifle, a shotgun, a sawed-off double bar-

rel shot gun, a spent light anti-tank weapon, and a revolver. Body armour was also recovered.

As a result of this investigation two adult males are facing charges.

Kurt Elliot Miller, 39, of Glenside was arrested by Regina Police Service after a traffic stop on May 14 in Regina. As a result of that stop he was charged with: CDSA S. 5(2) for trafficking cocaine; CDSA S. 5(2) for trafficking methamphetamine; Criminal Code S. 355(B) Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5,000; Criminal Code S. 88 Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public; Criminal Code S. 733.1(1) Breach of Probation.

As a result of the property search, Miller is charged with multiple drug related offences including: CDSA S. 5(2) Possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, alazopram (Xanax), gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) for the purpose of trafficking; Criminal Code S.355 Possessing Proceeds of Crime over $5,000; 16 Criminal Code charges related to firearms.

Mitch Hutchinson, 49, of Glenside was arrested by the Saskatchewan RCMP during the execution of a search warrant at this property on May 14.

Hutchinson is charged with multiple drug related offences including: CDSA S. 5(2) - Possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, alazopram (Xanax), gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) for the purpose of trafficking; CDSA S. 5(2) for trafficking marihuana; Criminal Code S.355 for Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000.00; 18 Criminal Code charges related to firearms.

A female taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant at this property on May 14 has been released and is not facing any charges.

Hutchinson will make his first court appearance on May 19 in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Miller will also make his first court appearance on May 19 in Regina Provincial Court.

“This investigation has removed significant quantities of dangerous drugs from our communities,” said Sgt. Jason Kerr, Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime. “The Saskatchewan RCMP is committed to targeting and disrupting the sale of illicit drugs in our province.

The types of drugs seized during this investigation have had dangerous, and at times, deadly impacts

on the residents of Saskatchewan.”

“The sale and distribution of these dangerous substances results in an increase in criminal activity in our communities and overdoses, which can be fatal,” Sgt. Kerr added.

“Thousands of people in our province could have been affected had these hazardous substances not been removed from our streets.”

Overdose deaths continue to happen in Saskatchewan, most recently several people died in Regina. This tragic loss of life underscores the dangers of taking illicit substances.

Methamphetamine and fentanyl are extremely dangerous – even a small quantity of fentanyl can be deadly.

GHB is often called a date-rape drug, because its sedative effects prevent victims from resisting sexual assault. In liquid form GHB is tasteless, odourless, and colourless and can be slipped into drinks without the victim noticing.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, Saskatoon RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) and the Saskatoon RCMP Forensic Identification Section (FIS) continue the investigation.

It’s official, Sask Health doesn’t see rural hospitals as important Today, May 21, Biggar Hospital will see its emergency services closed.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) says emergency room services at Biggar Hospital, along with similar actions at 11 other rural hospitals, is part of their COVID-19 response “plan”.

Again, the closure is said to be temporary, but is a serious blow to those in the community who rely on the facility as a safety net. With seeding in progress, tough luck if you get hurt. If you have an underlying condition, too bad for you if you can’t make the drive to a city ER. With COVID-19 cases dropping in the province, the move is heavy-handed, and is seen as one more excuse to turn rural “Hospitals” into “health clinics”.

The SHA says that the conversion of rural hos-

pitals to what they call “alternate level of care” or ALC sites was made to address potential surges in COVID-19 cases. They add that the decision was made to “protect our most vulnerable populations.”

The SHA says it will reduce traffic within these community hospitals, and will support the cohorting of staff, which reduces the risk of exposure.

“This measure will also help us to increase capacity in our other sites for the potential COVID-19 surge in cases. Keeping patients and staff safe and healthy continues to be our number one priority,” they added.

SHA’s Scott Livingstone said there were multiple reasons for going with the closures, even with low COVID-19 cases. He claims that it will give them a jump on cases if they should occur with

the reopening of the province.

If you live in Biggar, just don’t get seriously ill or

hurt while that happens.

The SHA want rural residents to call 911 in case of an emergency.

When emergency care is dependent on the quickest available care, ambulance response, evaluation, and

then transport means over an hour before you see the doors of an city ER.

Give a Nurse a (Social Distance) Hug National Nursing Week was this past May 11-17, and it couldn’t be a more important week in the history of Canada.

With the current COVID-19 situation, nurses are the frontline, the foot soldiers in this war our country finds itself in.

But it is way, way more than that.

For myself, long before I ever heard of COVID this and virus that, I needed some pretty special nurses to get me through, to keep me on the sunny side of the ground, so to speak.

From my young days of breaking legs, arms, fingers, nose, cheek, ribs to concussions, torn muscles, dislocated shoulders - my youth was a mess! to 2017 and a life-threatening condition. From local Biggar Hospital and Biggar Home Care nurses, to University of Saskatchewan cardiac and ER nurses. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your care and professionalism.

As I told a U of S nurse, Lindsey, on the day I was released: Thank You for being you, and Thank whoever inspired you to pursue a life as a nurse.

That goes for our nurses in Biggar - probably more so. They deal with people they know. That can be equal parts heartbreak, frustration, anxiety, and a desperate hope that you will see them up and about in our community.

With the current situation we all find ourselves in, nurses are that one continuing constant we can trust in. We need them and doctors, lab techs, ambulance folks . . . the list goes on and on. We find ourselves in Saskatchewan with a bit of hope; the curve is flattening. We won’t be back to normal soon enough, but nurses and other health professionals are the ones who keep us safe.

They deserve so, so many hugs that we can’t give at this time.

When this is over - and it will be - they are going to get the stuffing hugged out of them!

Until then, tell a nurse how much you appreciate them.

Do it now and do it often.

Pet shops have a better chance of survival than farmers

by Sylvain Charlebois, senior director of the agri-food analytics lab and professor in food distribution and policy at Dalhousie University Farmers were naive to expect much help from a government that’s obsessed with city-slicking ideas The Canadian Federation of Agriculture really set the bar high with its $2.6-billion aid request.

When a federal program barely worth $252 million was announced, the disappointment felt throughout the farming community wasn’t surprising.

The funds were indeed underwhelming and won’t be enough to get some of those producers to stick around. Many will exit the industry, regrettably.

Before the announcement, we expected to lose as many as 15 per cent of Canadian farms due to COVID-19. Ottawa’s plans won’t change

The $125-million program to support livestock raises a variety of concerns: • Executing the program will take time, something producers don’t have; • Few details were provided about the role of provinces or how much farmers will receive; • The measures will likely not prevent more animals from being euthanized in days to come and killing farm animals for no reason is never a good thing. Along with the milk dumping, COVID-19 is clearly giving animal activists many great case studies served on a silver platter.

It’s all such a shame for our farmers.

Losing farms won’t compromise our nation’s food security, obviously.

Farmland never disappears and can always be exploited by someone else.

The most significant

concern is how we create jobs and wealth in rural economies located far from urban centres.

This should be a priority for the federal government. Occupying our vast nation’s topography should be top of mind, from coast, to coast, to coast.

The federal government has rarely bothered to show any evidence that it cared about rural communities – or agriculture, for that matter. But it should before it’s too late.

The help for agriculture was unsurprisingly slow.

In the United States and Europe, governments provided financial aid directly to farmers weeks ago so they could deal with the aftermath of COVID-19.

In the U.S., every American is providing $86 through taxes to support agriculture via government-sanctioned programs. In Europe, it’s over $90 per capita. In

Canada, the per capita support for agriculture is $6. Six tiny dollars.

Farmers have every right to be disappointed.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said this was a first step. We should hope it is for the sake of the sector.

There are interesting elements in the plan and the government should be credited for these: • Recognizing that the Canadian Dairy Commission is the ideal agent to deal with production surplus; • The $100-million credit to the Crown corporation responsible for making sure milk surpluses are managed properly; • The $77 million allocated to expand domestic processing capacity; • The federal government has rarely recognize food processing as a worthy investment. The agri-food sector can’t be vigourous without a reliable, strong processing arm.

The Canadian processing sector, however, is incredibly anemic and in crisis. In fact, it was in a crisis when it entered the pandemic. The sector has lost 12 jobs a day, every day, since 2012. That’s 35,000 jobs but barely anyone has spoken about it.

Processing is the cornerstone for any food supply chain, although Canadians appear to have forgotten that over the years.

Weaknesses in processing will always arise in times of crises, like COVID-19, and this sector is desperate for more attention.

Ottawa presented a decent, measured plan, if too little too late. But it was wrong to expect so much from a government that’s obsessed with cityslicking ideas. Under its regime, pet shops have a greater chance of survival than some farmers.

But the program gives

a sense of what needs to be improved over time.

Food processing needs support to keep employees safe at work, and we need mechanisms to prevent spoilage at the farm gate. Those issues are both within the scope of the program, which is a good sign for the future.

Ottawa needs to make sure there are fewer divisions between the players in the food chain. Farmers should care about processors and vice versa. The same goes for the rest of the food chain. There are good examples in other parts of the world, so much work is still needed.

An urban-rural divide remains entrenched in most federal government policies, including this announcement.

However, knowing how that divide can skew everything, $252 million for farmers is a decent start. Expecting more was a mistake.

Y.T. doesn’t have many memories of Redberry Lake, other than the odd boat trip to Pelican Island w h e n he was young.

Usually the folks took us to “Long L a k e ” southeast of it.

A few years ago, Walt and I drove north of Borden Bob Mason on a nice new road onto the high ground just south of Redberry Lake where we stopped and had a dandy view of the countryside. It sure got through to us that although we had stopped, time certainly hadn’t!

Over the years Yours Truly has scrawled quite a bit about the RCMP, and I’m darn sure that we can’t write anough about them!

Our parents, like most parents, thank heaven, were very honest, righteous people who had the Kim Inglis highest respect for the law.

Early on, regardless of how much we were told by the local bad boys about fearing the attention of “Cops,” our folks insisted that we showed them the greatest esteem.

I don’t think the folks ever misssed an opportunity to point out to us

how human those people really were and how much on out side of the law they lived!

There may be a lot of stories told about them that Calvin Daniels aren’t too nice, but we knew that those stories would be a lot worse if the RCMP weren’t here!

Some of Y.T’s most memorable moments (nice alliteration, eh?) are entered in the L&T under the letter “R”. Some of them weren’t very nice, that’s true, but a lot of other times keep coming back too.

During the war, dogtired we moved into a busted-up house in Germany, and lay down to get some sleep. Rather than lie on the open floor of the room just inside the door, Y.T. crawled in behind a Daniels long bench near Calvin the far wall. Sometime in the night he was awakened by a small animal that scuttled right across his tunic. Needless to say Yours Truly stopped dreaming of pretty girls and reached for his Sten Gun! I found this entry und “R” for “Rat ran over me”, and just above “Reading in England” One warm evening in England I biked over to the Army Hospital in a nearby town to see an old friend, and when I went past a rundown stone building, there was a sign on theKim bigInglis gate saying “Gaol”.

As the town where the hospital was called “Reading”, it all reminded me of a poem in one of Dads books: “The Ballad of Reading Gaol.”

Two men were dishonourably discharged from our regiment onetime, and Y.T. once stood in that “ ‘ollow square!”

So, years ago we settled down here in Saskatchewan and did our thing until Y.T. retired in 1984.

Yours Truly will probably get old and forgetful someday and have to resort to reading the L&T (Life and Times) and under “R” he’ll find a lot more stuff like “Rapids on Eagle Creek”, “Red Samphire and George Tosh”, “The Rawleigh man” and even that yellow book “Remember that Comineo printed for me.

by Delta Faye Bruickshank of the Biggar Museum and Gallery Some displays in the Museum are glimpses into the years that many of our elders can still remember.

Seemed like the whole world put on their crazy hats between 1914-1945!

Our ancestors endured two world wars, the Great Depression, Prohibition, the General Strike in Winnipeg, revolt in Russia, Spanish Flu pandemic, increased emigration of people looking for a life without starvation and oppression, racial and ethnic prejudice . . . fear and loathing seemed to be rampant.

Biggar certainly was not isolated from all this chaos and uncertainty.

After the Archduke Ferdi-

nand of Austria was assassinated in a foreign country thousands of miles away, war was declared.

Many young men from the Biggar district went off to Europe to fight in the First World War, and many did not come home.

This was going to be “The war to end all wars”, and yet it did not.

War, revolution, religious persecution, and famine forced many people to emigrate from Europe, the United Kingdom and Russia during this time. Some of the earlier immigrants to the New World who had established themselves, were beginning to feel threatened by the new wave of people needing jobs, homes and land. At the same time, the economy was suffering from

an unstable stock market.

Groups who used hate and fear as their mandate grew and festered.

In the late 20’s, the notorious Klu Klux Klan spread their words of hatred and prejudice in Biggar. Despite the very large presence of the Catholic church - the church, a convent, and the hospital - meetings were still held in the Majestic Theatre and attended by many.

JJ Maloney, an ex Roman catholic cleric and an immigrant, set up the KKK headquarters here in Biggar. Seemed some of the townsfolk put on their crazy hats, getting themselves, all caught up in the KKK message of hate.

Many do not like to talk about those dark days, and yet many whispers

and mysteries arise from this era.

The biggest mystery is the existence of tunnels under our town.

Some say there was a tunnel build from the convent to the church.

The tunnels gave protection to the nuns going about their daily devotions from the attacks of bullies. Others say that the tunnels are under Main Street connecting the businesses, others say there is a tunnel from under the round-house into town.

There is a small display in the Museum depicting this dark time in Biggar’s past.

By the time the Depression started, enrollment in the Western division of the KKK petered off, and Maloney moved on.

He had married a Biggar businessman’s daughter and bankrupted them they had been the main source of funds for Maloney’s hate campaign.

Novels, theatre productions, movies, stir memories of the Great Depression (in the 1930s) and the effect on the Prairies.

Not much hardship is mentioned in the Biggar newspaper during that time, except one very tragic event that happened not far from town.

That was the murder in 1934 of Jackie Bates and unsuccessful suicides of his parents. The depression was named the culprit in this story.

The hopelessness and helplessness of the jobless was considered the motive behind the murder.

Here in Biggar, businesses opened or changed hands, talkies came to the Majestic Theatre, Thornton School was built, and the halls were filled with children.

A cheese factory opened for business in 1935. Then

in 1939 another war was declared in Europe. In 1941, 292 men and boys enlisted from the Biggar district to fight. A display honouring the loss of the Biggar soldiers is set up in our museum. It is a painting done by a local artist, Hilda Dielsen, depicting D-Day. There is also a display with the pictures of the women from Biggar who helped in the war effort.

During the war, Biggar citizens had sugar rationed to half pound per week and gasoline was also rationed. Many sons and husbands lost their lives in the battles in Europe, and Africa, some in the South Pacific.

It was a harsh time, and yet Biggar endured and went on.

The Biggar Memorial Pool on the west side of town, sponsored by the Legion, was built in 1948.

It was in honour of the Biggar boys who lost their lives fighting in the war . . . fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Woman ‘wakes up in a body bag after mistakenly being declared dead’ A Paraguayan woman had the shock of her life when she reportedly woke up in a body bag – after being declared dead.

Gladys Rodríguez Duarte was set to be prepared for a service hours later, with her family already informed that she was dead.

On Saturday, the married mother had gone

to San Fernando Clinic, in the city of Coronel Oviedo, because her already high blood pressure was increasing, according to Mail Online, which reported that she is 50-years-old. Local media have said she is in fact 46.

impaired drivers, however nothing that resulted in charges being laid. Fifty-three calls for service were taken for our area this week and 25 traffic infractions were issued.

The RM of Glenside had a strong police presence on the night of the 14th as our Federal Serious Organized Crime Unit rolled into our area for a quick project and were able to disrupt the entrepreneurial spirit of two individu-

als (see ‘RCMP lay drug trafficking charges’, page 3).

This weekend also seen Highway 14 shut down briefly while fire departments from Biggar and Perdue battled a Grass Fire, Biggar members assisted, generating additional police response from neighbouring units from Rosetown, Unity, Warman and the Traffic Services Division.

Cardboard fans cheer on Korean baseball team

Supporters of the NC Dinos can’t attend games in person so they sent life-sized cut-outs in their place.

May 13 - South Korean baseball fans may not be allowed to watch their favourite teams live at stadiums due to the COVID-19 pandemic but NC Dinos’ stands were not empty thanks to lifesized cardboard cut-outs of portraits sent in by the fans.

The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) League season kicked off this month after a fiveweek delay due to the coronavirus but all games will be played without fans in attendance.

“No fans were allowed in even though the league reopened,” Dinos’ mar-

keting manager Park Joong-un said. “So, we’ve thought about a way of giving enjoyment to fans and motivation to the players.”

The club said more than 60 fans participated, sending their own pictures, along with their favourite players or even their pets.

“I can’t go into the stadium now, but my avatar is cheering the team instead of me. It feels like I’m in the stadium,” Han Dongsu, a 38-year-old baseball fan, said outside the stadium in Changwon.

The club also set up cardboard cut-outs with characters of U.S. baseball team Durham Bulls after the minor league team declared its support for Dinos on Twitter.

“Your attention please: We have decided which KBO team we will be supporting. This is now an NC Dinos fan account,” said the Bulls. The Bulls are based in North Carolina which shares the same NC initials with Dinos.

With Major League Baseball (MLB) on hold due to the pandemic, ESPN reached a deal to broadcast KBO games which kicked off on May 5.

But while audiences can follow games in the safety and comfort of their homes, Han feels a twinge of regret for not being able to take his son to a game.

“If the stadium reopens, I’ll come and watch games with my son whenever we can,” he said.

Mystery burning object flies over UK skies People in Cambridgeshire,UK have been left scratching their heads over a mysterious plume of smoke that appeared over the county.

A large flaming object was spotted spiralling in the sky at around 8 p.m.

He was sitting outside his canal boat in Stretham, having a little fire, when he spotted the trail.

He said: “It looked like a very thick chemtrail to start with. It looked like a short, skinny cloud. It wasn’t moving quickly at all. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a meteorite, because they are gone in seconds. We have seen

hundreds of shooting stars, but this definitely wasn’t that either. This was coming down very slowly and spiralling. It started to glow orange as you can see in the pictures.”

“There were flames coming out of the back of it as well. It was really unusual.”

Underwood took several pictures of the burning entity dropping through the sky, in which a huge trail can be seen behind it as it descends into the distance. Underwood said he was watching the unidentified object fall through the sky for ‘between 10 and 20 minutes,’ as it was coming down so slowly.

Eventually, the burning mass disappeared behind the trees in the distance.

Underwood said he was looking towards Huntingdon as he watched it descend, but stressed the object might have landed “well beyond that.”

‘The sheer size of it is what’s got me. When you look at the pictures, they show the trees in the foreground and it’s way beyond that, it was very big. It landed beyond the horizon, that’s how big it was - we couldn’t see it land. Underwood said.

We see a lot of strange things down the river, but that’s the first time we’ve ever seen something like that.’

The bogus theory claims that Gates wants the COVID-19 vaccine to contain a microchip capable of tracking, monitoring, and controlling recipients.

5G Cell Towers Created The Virus There’s impressive logical gymnastics to relate wireless communication 5G technology to a highly transmissible virus.

One theory states that the 5G towers help the virus travel along the wireless frequency.

Another says there is no coronavirus and 5G technology is causing illness and deaths. A third posts that 5G destroys immune systems, making people more susceptible to the virus.

The fact that all these theories are bonkers hasn’t stopped people around the world from destroying 5G towers to save their communities from the pandemic.

WEEKLY REFLECTION

FEELING TRAPPED WITH NO WHERE TO GO – LOOK UP!

ALL of us have certainly been feeling a certain sense of being trapped – haven’t we? Our freedoms to interact with one another, to go and do what we’d like to do seemed to have been stripped away. Keep in mind that God has allowed this pandemic to cause us to look to Him to take us through – not to governments – or anything or anyone else! You see, when we think we’re going through tough times, we should always remember that there are those in other places who are experiencing much worse conditions than we are!

With this thought in mind, I’d like to share a story from the Bible – where a certain man in history – was trapped and could nothing, but LOOK UP! This story took place between the years of 539 – 331 B.C. It’s recorded in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. The part of the story I’m going to briefly share with you is found in Daniel 6. You see, Daniel and many other Jew’s had been brought into captivity from the land of Israel by the Babylonians by king Nebuchadnezzar’s army many years before this account. This setting takes place after the Babylonian kingdom had be conquered by the Medo-Persian Empire under King Darius. Daniel had been placed in governmental leadership under Nebuchadnezzar, and was offered the same type of leadership under Darius. He took up his offer.

However, there were those in other positions of governmental affairs that were jealous of Daniel. So they did everything possible to find a way to have Daniel removed from his position. But all attempts failed, except one. Being a Jew, Daniel loved and served the God of Israel, and was in the habit of praying to Him 3 times each day. So, these other officials plotted a scheme where they had Darius make a law that no-one was allowed to pray to any other God, then to Darius himself for a period of 30 days. And if they didn’t obey this law – they were to be thrown into a Den of Lions. This however didn’t change Daniel’s daily practice.

Because his faith in God was deeper than his fear of man, and man’s laws!! Long story short. After 30 days – Daniel hadn’t obeyed this law, and to the kings great dismay – Daniel was thrown into the Den of Lions.

He was trapped – imprisoned among hungry beasts that could have ripped him in pieces within seconds. But, because of his deep faith and trust in God, God immediately sent one of His angels to shut the mouths of those hungry lions – Daniel 6:18 – 23. You see, Daniel was innocent, and God had protected him because of his strong faith in Him! Result, Daniel was brought out of that Den and promoted to a higher position than before, and those officials who plotted this scheme were thrown into the Den and torn limb from limb before they hit the ground.

The moment you set foot inside an auto vehicle, you become susceptible to experiencing an accident.

Even if you are an experienced driver who abides by the rules, factors like infrastructure, lack of attention and concentration, alcohol or drug consumption by My point, is this. Apparently, just building the vehicle was not enough as he proceeded to drive the so-called car on the road, resulting in a four-car crash.

To everyone’s surprise, this happened while he was sober.

2. Risky Business Being a valet sure has its perks, but it isn’t easy business.

A young valet found this out the hard way after taking out a Masserati for a test drive.

Unfortunately for him, the test did not finish well as he managed to crash the Masserati into a Jeep. The Jeep also totaled a Porsche 365SC Coupe, which was nearby.

3. Who is Ready to Order?

This funny accident happened back in January 2013 when an elderly man driving a car, managed to get his foot stuck on the gas pedal and crashed into a pizza restaurant.

4. Left vs Right Similar to the two previous car crashes, this one is not far from being tragically funny.

It all happened after a racer got confused and mixed the gas pedal for the brake. As a result, the car crashed into two other parked race cars owned by the motorist.

Luckily for him, he had extensive auto insurance for all these vehicles and managed to get the claims.

5. Double Trouble If you thought that crashing one car was bad, wait until you hear about this 66-year-old Grandma who managed to crash two cars, two days in a row, into two different businesses.

Ironically enough, one of the businesses affected was an Eye Care Center.

6. Young and Restless A funny accident that could have ended up badly happened after a 2-year-old child decided to take his father’s truck for a drive.

As anticipated, the truck crashed into the family’s house, but fortunately, the baby did not get hurt in the process.

7. Struck by Popularity While trying to impress his group of friends, a 13-year-old managed to steal his mother’s car.

Regrettably, things did not go as planned after he observed his mother, got scared of her reaction, got distracted, and finally ended up crashing into a tree nearby.

In conclusion, accidents do happen all the time, and some can be stranger and funnier than others.

But to avoid being taken by surprise by an unexpected accident caused by yourself or other bad drivers, proper vehicle coverage is indispensable.
