Moneeka Sawyer is often described as one of the most blissful people you will ever meet. But don’t confuse her big smile and infectious laugh with naiveté. Her multi-million dollar real estate empire is just one example of her ability to strategize, organize, and implement big business plans.

3. What is missing for women in their experiencing higher levels of success in life and business?

In a word - decisiveness. Women often know exactly what they want or need to do, but they doubt themselves and their decisions. They tend to want to talk about it, or really feel into it. Successful people are good at making fast decisions. This is a skill that isn’t actually natural to most people, but it can be developed. Developing this skill will help you achieve significantly more success in life and business.

4. Share 3 things you believe every unlimited woman should know and/or master in order to experience a higher level of unlimited success, money, and abundance.

1. Learn to love numbers. Most of us are in business because we have a passion for something.

Looking at numbers can feel too analytical and not aligned with being in our passion. However, the numbers tell us specifically how much impact we are making, and how long we can continue to do that. If you ignore them you won’t be able to continue to run your business. So, start to look at numbers as indicators of how many lives you have changed and you will learn to love to look at them.

2. Learn to set your day up for success. How do you start your day? All of us have a routine that we follow in the morning. The question is whether your routine has evolved out of necessity, or whether you have designed it with the intention to set your day up for success. All massively successful people have designed a morning routine that sets the tone of their day to be what they want it to be. As an unlimited woman you should do the same.

3. Have a big vision. We often start a business because we have a passion. As we start running the business we realize that there is so much to do that isn’t what we are passionate about. Over time we get bogged down with all the day-to-day tasks of running the business. This eventually will burn you out. If you have a big vision for your business you can look at that whenever you start to get bogged down. Even when you are doing things that are not your passion, you realize that it’s all necessary in order to attain your vision and stay motivated.

Some of the ways women succeed are by being competitive in a collaborative environment, trusting our intuition, and building relationships. We have so many advantages in business that we turn our back on because we are trying to be men. The key to most of these is to be kind. Kindness surprises and delights people and makes them want to help you, work with you, and partner with you. I’m not saying to be let people walk all over you. Set boundaries, stand in your power, and be kind from that place. It will change your world and your business forever.

6. What is the most important personal discovery you have made over the past year that supported your unlimited success?

8. Who is your greatest inspiration?

My Mom. She grew up in a country and time where she was told that her only real value was to be a wife and mother. She wanted those things, but she also wanted so much more. She constantly saw people suffering and wanted to be a doctor so she could help them. Against all odds she made it into medical school and became a doctor. When she was a newlywed, she left her country and moved to the other side of the world to the US where she didn’t know anything about the culture and her medical degree wasn’t recognized. She forged her way, experienced great joy, and became very successful. She has always been so courageous and strong. She encouraged me to go after my dreams and stick by what I believe is right and she modelled that for me my whole life. I wouldn’t be who I am today without her as my guide and inspiration.

9. What is the most rewarding aspect of your success?

No matter what I do in my life, I am always drawn back to some sort of coaching. I truly love watching others succeed. Seeing the light in their eyes when they finally “get” something; hearing their success stories, truly excites me. I experience the most bliss through helping people live a life filled with meaning, purpose, passion, and joy. My success is simply a byproduct of getting to do this on a bigger scale.

10.What strategy do you use to keep your energy and vibration high?

I have a motto that I live by. It is “Smile often, laugh loud.”

It is true that it’s not always easy to live by this motto so when I find myself getting upset I take a bliss moment. A bliss moment works like this: Whenever I start to get upset I STOP, DROP, BREATH, SMILE .

1. I notice that the thing that is getting me upset are the thoughts that is going on in my head about a particular situation. At that moment I STOP and interrupt the thoughts that are upsetting me.

2. I then DROP into my heart and roll my shoulders a bit to release any tension in my body.

3. I take a couple deep BREATHS into my heart to relax myself and become aware of the love and compassion in my heart.

4. I put a SMILE on my face. The simple act of smiling actually creates a chemical reaction in your body that helps you feel good. If you force it you won’t be able to sustain that good feeling. Taking the full bliss moment allows you to really get into a blissful space and stay there.

11. How do you deal with set-backs?

I allow myself to honor the feelings of disappointment, frustration, and even anger. I have a right to those feelings. They are real. If I ignore

them they will just build up, so I give myself some time to honor them. I give myself a time limit and when it is up, I put myself back on the road and start driving again. A set-back is just a set-back. You don’t have to stay there.

I learn the lessons I needed to learn and move forward with more information and wisdom.

12. How do you define success?

Bliss in all areas of my life. I define bliss as a deep sense of joy, contentment, and the confidence that I can handle anything that comes my way.

13. What do you think is the best way to achieve long-term success or is there a formula?

Build your success on the truth of who you are. Understand your own core values, your big why, and your personal needs and goals.

Then align whatever you are doing with those elements of who you are. If you build a house on a solid foundation, it will stand for a long time. If you don’t lay the foundation first, the house can collapse at any time. Your business is the same way. Your core values, big why, needs and goals are what make up your personal foundation.

Principles to Ignite the Power of Your

Brilliance

You are probably sitting back right now, thinking how quickly 2018 is passing you by.

After all, it only feels like last week when you were creating your personal and career or business goals for 2018 with big desires, big hopes, and big visions for you and your loved ones.

employee, business woman, coach, mentor, consultant, not to mention all the other roles that you are doing which you haven’t yet been acknowledged for in your personal life or business.

Now, you are in the final third of the year – so, what happened?

As a woman, you do so much, you should be walking around with a Wonder Woman logo on our chest.

Has your vision become a reality as yet?

Are you on track to achieving those desires?

Are you looking back at the beginning of the year with fond memories, celebrating your achievements? Or are you currently thinking, “Why haven’t I achieved everything that I set out to this year?”

Unless you have been kicking back and relaxing, you are exactly where you are meant to be!

I am taking this opportunity to remind you of all the roles that you have been juggling so far this year.

You deserve to live a life of purpose, doing what you are passionate about, and knowing that you have infinite possibilities available to you. To support you in becoming a woman of brilliance, I share these six core principles with you that I have used and lived my life by in supporting my personal and business successes as well as those of my clients.

Brilliant Principles Principle 1 Activate your power by making yourself a priority: Making yourself a priority allows you to be your most powerful self. You may currently believe that this is a selfish act, and there were times when I felt the same, yet doing so powerfully supports the most selfless mindset to have for yourself.

Why do you think airlines tell you, in case of an emergency, to put on your own oxygen mask first before helping others with theirs? You cannot help others if you have no breath left in you.

For me, this is a way of life, there is no other way I would be. If I am not at my best, I will not be able to support those that I love dearly, like my family, friends and my clients.

Adopt the mindset of filling up your cup and feeding everyone else from your overflow. Place yourself at the center of your universe.

What three things can you introduce to your self-care plan on a monthly basis?

Principle 2 Know yourself intimately: “When you know yourself, you are empowered.

When you accept yourself, you are invincible.” ~ Tina Lifford A major key to success is being fully aware of who you are and embracing your gifts. As Tina Lifford said, it empowers you and when you accept who you are, you are invincible.

Being aware of who you are and embracing your God given talents, is one of the fastest ways to propels you into alignment. When you know who you are BE-ing, you show up in a more powerful way in all areas of your life and business. Imagine being the creator of your own experience and expressing your freedom of choice.

What are your unique characteristics that defines who you are?

I have worked with so many clients who were unsure about who they were BE-ing on a daily basis.

They felt unloved, had low self-worth, felt confused and hopeless, not feeling like themselves, so many didn’t even like themselves.

Once they reconnected to their values, passion, desires, and positive beliefs, they fell in love with all the possibilities that were available to them.

Principle 3 Be Authentic and fully embrace who you are “Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” ~ Brene Brown I couldn’t have said it better myself. Everyone is speaking about being authentic, but Brene Brown reminds us of just how much you have to put into being authentic. It takes commitment to work on yourself every single day, to know yourself intimately as in Principle 2.

When you truly know yourself inside and out, and you totally embrace who you are unapologetically, something magical happens. Give yourself permission to show up in your truest form and express who you are in all your brilliance. You deserve to accept, appreciate, and embrace yourself fully for you.

Now that you know yourself, live your life being true to who you are, with purpose and passion. There are unique qualities and gifts within you that you possess which maybe you have been holding back for years. Fully expressing yourself by expressing your truth and your creativity allows you to live in your authentic state.

Something magical happens when you truly embrace your uniqueness. Feel and enjoy the magic!

Principle 4 Find the lessons in all experiences Every experience that you have in life, whether they are positive or negative, serves as a lesson to help you in other situations in every area of your life and business. As a woman of brilliance, you will come to understand the importance of these lessons and how they continue to support your journey to achieving unlimited successes.

“Never be afraid to fall apart because it is an opportunity to rebuild yourself the way you wish you had been all along.” ~ Rae Smith Also, a woman of brilliance is ready to use the lessons she has learned in all experiences, even the negative ones to reinvent herself whenever she desires to be the woman she knows she is meant to be, even on a daily basis.

Principle 5 Give and receive from the heart Give from your heart in an unconditional way. In that same spirit, you openly receive because you are living from a place of overflow and are able to nurture others from your overflow after nourishing yourself first.

The gift of giving and receiving supports you in being grounded in all areas of your life – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Giving activates the law of reciprocity.

As women, we take our independence to another level and sometimes find it difficult to ask for help and even accept that help from others. Woman of brilliance, it’s time to review how you receive. Make receiving a priority in your life and business as you continue to give.

Introducing these five principles in your life will allow you to create the vision that your heart desires and make that vision a reality.

Remember, you are a woman of brilliance and you are empowered by your choices. Embrace your uniqueness and be authentic in everything you do, which in turn, inspires those around you.

A Time to Reap:

Assessing Your Harvest from the Seeds You’ve Sown

In the Northern Hemisphere, we are in the time of harvest. It’s befitting that we start September with forty percent of the planetary energy moving backwards (retrograde motion). This provides an opportunity to look back and assess.

For farmers, this assessment would involve the quantity and quality of crops. Translated into our entrepreneurial harvest, we would appraise the fruits of our businesses and their effect on our lives.

Like farmers, we can ascertain which of our business choices were helpful and those that may have lacked the wisdom of our heart and our spirit. I don’t think it will be difficult to make those determinations.

A lack of true dedication can be a big red flag that your choice was not based on something that was in alignment with your heart or spirit.

Sometimes fear of success can sabotage the most valiant of efforts in a direction that seems ideal on the outside, but not so much to your inner being.

It may be a direction in which you were steered by a well-meaning mentor, coach, or friend. When we start in a direction that is not aligned with our true desires, our inner knowing slams on the brakes I advise you to quickly make this assessment of when it looks like it may be successful. Look deeper past choices and actions, because on September within yourself and be honest about your feelings.

6th the energy of discernment turns from looking The last week in September is a good time to go back to looking forward. It is then that you can use within and identify your true passions. When you discernment to decide what your next steps will be consider new avenues for your life and/or business, moving ahead on the same trajectory or moving which of them makes you feel contracted or away in a different direction. Will you continue constricted? Which ones make you feel expansive? doing what you’ve been doing?

Pay close attention, especially to the ones that light you up and get the energy of your inner joy

By September 23rd, discernment will provide you shooting out like fireworks. More than likely, those with answers. For those fruits of your business that that produce inner fireworks are the ones that you are not of your liking, ask yourself if that previous will maintain the energy to see through.

The end of September is a good time to move in the fireworks-producing direction. That is the time the planetary energy associated with your passion and power will begin moving forward. Grab onto its shirttails and use its momentum to carry you along.

This is an opportunity to change your life. If you step into your awesome feminine power, and follow your passions, know that you will be the fervent caretaker and protectress of those seeds of your new direction.

On October 5th, the planet representing money, beauty, values, and partnership will turn retrograde.

This is a good time to use some means to go deep to reconnect with your “Big Why.” You can use journaling, mediation, guided visualization, or some other means to tap into your heart and spirit.

Do your best to move judgement aside. In addition, take an extra moment to determine if this “why” is yours or if it is someone else’s, such as a mentor or someone you admire. Will you be happy following someone else’s dream?

In this season of harvest, are you feeling extreme joy with the crops you’ve produced? Have the fruits of your endeavors been in alignment with your heart and your spirit? Regardless of your answers to those two questions, one thing remains true, you are always given opportunities to readjust and venture in a direction that makes your heart sing and your spirit soar. Discern what is best for you. Step into your power and follow your passion. Align with your values and listen for the song of your heart. All will lead you to who you are meant to be. Happy harvest, my sisters!

It is so easy to get caught up with the bright and shiny elements of someone else’s life and business, without realizing it is a distraction from our own.

Are you excited and want to jump out of bed each day because you are so focused on living your purpose every - single - day or are you pressing the snooze button? That definition is going to vary from person to person but the foundation of this question centers around whether you lived life all out, gave it your all and did what you loved doing.

Part of exercising self-love is creating healthy boundaries with all our relationships. Anytime in life when I allowed others to cross the line with me, I was showing them it was okay to treat me poorly.

n last month’s article, we explored the basics of Feng Shui and the importance of clearing clutter from our living environments to open up and invite in our best energetically aligned experiences. When surrounded by clutter we feel stuck, overwhelmed and constricted, blocking positive Chi energy. In some Schools of Feng Shui, living with clutter is residing in a Beta state which stifles our creativity, obstructs our positive energy and repels abundance and success entering our life.

Who Are You Meant to Be to Others?

When you look at another, what’s the first thing you notice about them? Is it the clothes they’re wearing? Their jewelry? I imagine that before you notice these things, you notice whether you’re speaking to a person of color or a Caucasian. It is perfectly natural to observe whether a Native American is standing in front of you, or an AfricanAmerican, or a Latino, or an Asian, or a Caucasian… This is part of your assessment and observation of anyone you meet. What, then, do you do with that observation? Who are you meant to be to them?

Asking these questions takes me back to a time when I wandered a small, hilly community for weeks, photographing wrought iron gates. I’ll never forget one of them. The difference I noted right away was the varied colors of three of the gate knobs - one brass or yellow, one bronze or brown, and one that was black. Although different, each was beautiful in its uniqueness.

We all laugh, and we cry. Some are more traumatized than others, yet, we each feel emotional pain. We each just want to be noticed, to be acknowledged with dignity and respect. Perhaps, we want to be allowed by others to carry forth and live the customs and ways of our ancestors. Certainly, we each wish to live according to our beliefs, dreams, and aspirations, regardless of our color.

Inside, there are differences that make up our Spirit and who we are. Some of us expect those of different cultures to be like us, to think like we do. In fact, I wrote a verse to address the differences I saw in the gate knobs:

We each carry our wound(s). Mine was the extreme hurt of always being compared, found deficient and defective, then rejected for who I was. A person of color has wounds to carry, too, and in addition, they must deal with racism and being treated unfairly, simply because of their skin color and/or their customs and beliefs.

When we can be curious about these differences, about the things that are important to another human being, about the things that make their heart sing, we begin to heal our divide in a time filled with division.

We begin to see others as fellow humans.

Who are you meant to be to others? How can you, as an individual, better the lives of ones who are different from you? How can you help to soften the hardships of what they undergo, many on a daily basis? And most importantly, how can you assure you don’t add to the division that is present in today’s world - the judgment and disrespect of others that is rampant?

Consider the gate knobs and how they all work together to operate the gate, regardless of differing colors. Then remember how, when they work in unison, a beautiful garden grows.

Bring yourself back to the garden and cultivate it by doing the following: ~ Become willing to cultivate your garden with those who are different than you. ~ See the wonder of the other’s creation. ~ View that person with curiosity and respect. ~ Focus on the flowers of another’s being instead of their differences. ~ Feel their heart.

Cultivate these things and you will know who you are meant to be to others.

Pause to give some thought to the messages we hear today that are being spouted about people who are non-white and non-Christian.

It is an onslaught of detrimental and degrading things that are being proclaimed. Are you a part of that? Is that who you were meant to be to others?

A Rude

Awakening!

Six years ago I had a rude awakening. My life seemed “fine & good” by all standards.

I had taken a huge leap of faith and left the “cushy” University Job to become an entrepreneur and start a Private Practice.

My practice was filled within months, I was making more $$ than I’ve ever had and things were looking up...

Yet I didn’t quite know it at the time, life was about to take a drastic turn.

In what seemed like the blink of an eye, my life was turned inside out and I was brought down to my knees.

Having been a ballerina I had come to take my body and my physical abilities for granted in a big way. Yet I found myself with a broken leg.

Not only did this injury not heal quickly enough, I developed another condition that required surgery on both my legs.

In fact, I was told they might need to amputate one of my legs!

It felt like my life was spinning out of control.

I realized that what had felt like a successful business was a successful treadmill. And unless I was working my butt off, I wasn’t earning an income. The huge medical bills made matters worse.

Step 8 Developing Spiritual Awareness I.

Being Spiritually Well

We are spiritual being, living in a human body. Understanding this basic, yet essential truth can greatly impact your overall spiritual well-being and success. Psychologists, sociologists and religious leaders alike all agree that what we believe spiritually influences and dictates the direction of our lives. On a basic level, spirituality is two-fold. It is the understanding of one’s belief in God or a higher power and it is the understanding of the essences of what make us, you, human. In simpler terms, the second description of spirituality is the understanding what makes you tick. Your likes, dislikes, interests, etc. What gives your life meaning and purpose? What moves you in your mind, body and soul? Asking yourself these types of questions can help you better understand your authentic self.

Define your spirituality:

On a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 means rarely and 5 means always, answer each statement below that best describes you now.

1. I spend time in some type of spiritual activity (prayer, meditation, group) once a day or at least once a week.

2. I have identified positive ways to connect to my spiritual self.

3. My spirituality is important to me and I honor it regularly.

4. I am comfortable with my spiritual well-being.

5. I feel disconnected from my spiritual beliefs and values 6. My spiritual beliefs and values influence my thoughts, feelings, behaviors and way of life positively.

7. I do not have a spiritual belief or religion that I follow.

8. I believe in God and experience his presence often in my life.

9. My spirituality influences my purpose and meaning in life.

10. I have a difficult time relating to others because of their spiritual beliefs.

If you noticed after taking this brief assessment that you have more 1s than 5s, then perhaps this is an indication that your spiritual well-being may be suffering.

Be Still and Look Inward

Make a commitment to yourself to spend some quiet time alone with your thoughts and feelings weekly. Slow the pace of your day, by removing your watch, turning off your phone or pager, and focus on your immediate experience. Try one of the following activities or develop another that is meaningful to you and that contributes to your sense of spiritual well-being.

• Spend time in prayer: Time in prayer or meditation can be extremely beneficial to your mind and your emotions. As you learn to be still and grounded in spiritual truths and principles, you will begin to experience peace, gratefulness and abundance. If you get distracted by thoughts or external noises, focus on a word or phrase that will bring you back to your spiritual purpose. Example: love, peace, joy or “I’m focusing on this moment” or “I can spend quality time with God and myself.”

• Spend time in nature: Experience continuity with the natural world by spending solitary time in a natural setting. Watch the sky (day or night), a sunrise, or a sunset; listen to waves on a shore or wind in the trees; feel the breeze on your face or raindrops on your skin; smell the grass, brush, trees, or flowers. Open all your senses to the beauty of nature.

• Experience art, architecture, or music: Spend time with a work of art or architecture or a piece of music. Choose one that will awaken your senses, engage your emotions, and challenge your understanding. Take a break and then repeat the experience to see how your responses change the second time.

• Express your creativity: Set aside time for a favorite activity, one that allows you to express your creative side. Sing, draw, paint, play a musical instrument, sculpt, build, dance, cook, garden—choose an activity in which you will be so engaged that you will lose track of time. Strive for feelings of joy and exhilaration.

• Engage in a personal spiritual practice: Pray, meditate, do yoga, chant. Choose a spiritual practice you are familiar with or try a new one to future your growth and understanding. Tune out the outside world and turn your attention inward, focusing on the experience.
