Australian Cross Country

Cross Country venue & event consultation, course design, portable jump design and construction

Australian Cross Country (ACC) was established in 1997 due to demand for cross country services. The principal Wayne Copping has been designing cross country courses and constructing obstacles since 1975 and involved in many events in Australia. Wayne has also designed and built in a number of other countries including the Pan American Games in Toronto in 2015.

The FEI have utilised Wayne’s skills with Course Design workshops, mentoring and seminar presenting as one of the FEI’s Course Design Experts.

Australian Cross Country provides services such as full or partial course design, consultation on venue construction and layout, technical services for events and cross country portable jump design and construction.

Indeed ACC has developed a style and system of building portables in a complete flat pack format. These jumps are built in our shop in such a way they can then be dismantled and marked up and strapped onto bearers. This method means the jumps only take up multiples of pallet space on a transport meaning at least thirty 4* jumps can be accommodated on a drop deck semi trailer. These jumps would all be ranging in jumpable width from 1.4mts to 3.6mts.

The pictures show the conversion from a full scale jump to a flat pack which is easily re assembled on site with a driver drill only. All hardware is included, jumps can be coated with exterior stain to the purchaser’s requirement.

One of the many skills that ACC has is the ability to make artistically and quality designed obstacles to fit with and promote various sponsors that Organising Committees obtain.

Australian Cross Country can also supply any type of training fence for private centres from existing venues to green field sites to suit any levels of training or competition.

ACC was appointed by Spirafix Ground Anchors a few years ago as their Australian distributor, the Spirafix anchor was the first and only anchor that was recommended by the FEI for anchoring portable cross country fences. Avast range is available for all situations and conditions not just the equestrian anchors as shown, these are the only anchors that have been tested under all ground conditions and have all relevant data back up.

These anchors are available on order from Australian Cross Country or through Spirafix Australia. Complete information is available from www.spirafix.com
