FOUR MAN SCRAMBLE 8:30 AM SHOTGUN START GREAT GOLF! LOTS OF PRIZES! GOOD FOOD! COLD LIBATIONS! SCOTT REESE WILLEY Hometown Press Barefootin’ the Natural Way has re-opened in the Texas Health & Fitness center in Winnie. “Barefootin’ the Natural Way teamed up with Texas Health & Fitness to offer some alternative approaches to health,” said Barefootin’ owner Linda Kellum, RN. “The medical profession is very important to have. However, I know that your physicians would be supportive of knowing their patients are being proactive in their individual healthcare.” Texas Health & Fitness is located at 1505 Highway 124 in Winnie, next to the Sonic DriveIn. “There is a pathway for each of us to healing and well-being,” Kellum said. “We just need to find out what our bodies need and want and give it to them. It’s that simple. I believe that 75 percent of our diseases are resulting from our lifestyles, our diets especially. We are being bombarded with exposure to toxic chemicals in our foods, soil, and air pollution around us.” Texas Health & Fitness owner Rhonda Clowdis LaBorde said she’s excited about teaming up with Barefootin’ the Natural Way. “Our two businesses complement each other,” she told visitors during the grand opening ceremony. “We are being bombarded with exposure to toxic chemicals in our foods, soil, and the air pollution around us,” Kellum continued. “We offer services and products that can lift off some of the burdens our God-given filters are over-loaded with. I don’t ask, ‘Are you toxic?’ I ask, ‘How toxic are you?’ Kellum said Barefootin’ the Natural Way has several options to help rid the body of the toxins. “We offer nutritional counseling, products to build you up, and equipment to help eliminate your system from toxins,” she said. “We will be offering classes in the future, hopefully on a monthly basis on different topics.”
