n Community Christian Fellowship Church will hold a Praise Him Festival May 12 at White's Park. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and feature a free gospel concert by Bost Family Tradition. Bost Family Traditions play an interesting mix of progressive Southern Gospel, traditional and bluegrass music. Their program is

an exciting combination of inspirational music, warm family atmosphere and a message of hope. The festival offers a variety of free activities for the youngsters that include games, a maze and petting zoo. For the adults, the festival will feature a silent auction, a live auction, vendor booths and informational booths. Chicken lunches will also be sold for $8 each. Drawings will be held for a Remington Versa Max 12 gauge shot gun and a 7’6” Allstar Fishing Rod with a Shimano Citica Reel. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the CCF Building Fund. The church is in the process of building its new church on Eagle Road in Oak Is-

land. For more information on the festival, on securing a vendor booth, or to buy tickets for the drawings or chicken lunches, call Sue 936-3344279, Mark 713-857-1517 or Trent 252-4349. n The First Missionary Baptist Church is launching a new worship experience for children called the 412 Worship Service on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. All children are invited to participate. For more information, visit the church’s website at www.fmbcanahuac.com or contact Kanisha Coates at Kcoates@fmbcanahuac.com. n Men’s (non-denominational) prayer group meets Monday, Tues-

day, Thursday and Friday at the Wellness Center at Bayside. Women are also welcome to attend. n Father Neil Arce and the members of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church announce new worship times: 6 p.m. Saturday for Spanish Mass and 8:30 a.m. Sunday for English Mass. The church is located at 2207 S. Main St. in Anahuac. Call 267-3158 for more information. n Lily of the Valley COGIC holds Bible study at 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday night. The church is located at 1222 N. Main St. in Anahuac. n Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. each

Tuesday at the Old River Baptist Church, 12948 FM 1409. n Community Christian Fellowship Church presents 22:6 Adventure for children and youth pre-kindergarten through middle schools each Wednesday at 5 p.m. Need a ride or more information? Call 409-252-4107. The older students’ program, Quest for High School, begins at 5:30 p.m. Anyone needing a ride or more information may call 409-267-2258. n The St. Vincent de Paul Society has opened its new Louis Conference Assistance Center and Thrift Store, located at 902 3rd Street in Winnie. After Hurricane Ike devastated the Thrift Store’s original

location on Highway 73, the St. Louis Conference Center had to relocate the Thrift Store and the Assistance Center in separate places, including a temporary location on Buccaneer Drive. Now everything is all under one roof, and operating solely to provide the Corporal Works of Mercy, which is the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s goal to: “feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit those in prison, bury the dead.” n White Horse Revival Church holds in- depth Bible study on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Church is located at FM 565 South.
