East Chambers Outlasts the Buna Cougars

Buccaneers took on the Buna Cougars at Buccaneer Stadium last Friday and it was a scoring bonanza. It seemed like neither team could stop the other's offense and it ended up with only one punt in the game and it came with about a minute and a half left to play. Each team did have a turnover on downs, but that was a rare occasion when it was too close to punt and too far to try a field Hayden Reeves(#6) was the workhorse for the Bucs in last Friday's victory goal. The Bucs had 363 over the Buna Cougars.

Voting hours during the week of October 18-22, 2021 are 8:00am until 5:00pm and hours during the week of October 25-29, 2021 are 7:00am until 7:00pm. Election day is November 2, 2021 and all polling locations are open 7:00am until 7:00pm. County wide polling has been implemented which means that any registered voter in Chambers County can vote at any of the

Local Warehouse Consumed by Fire By Wade Thibodeaux  The Winnie-Stowell Lions club has announced that they are holding a raffle for 2 tickets to thevHouston Texans November 28th NFL game against the New York Jets. The raffle will include a $100 concession card along with an NRG Stadium parking pass. “We are really excited to be able to offer this ticket package to the Texans game against the Jets. It will be an opportunity to experience an NFL game at a premier stadium and includesv$100 concession card with a parking pass,” said Bill Keating, president of the WS Lions Club. He added, “We really appreciate Buck Thornton at Clarus Wealth Group for donating

the tickets for the raffle.” The proceeds from the raffle will be used by the Lions Club to further their work in service to the community. “This raffle will help fund the things that we do for the community such as the appreciation lunch that we will provide to area police, fire, EMS and other first responders later in October,” Keating said. The cost of the raffle tickets will be $10 with discounts for multiple tickets. They will be available from any Lions Club member or by calling the Keating office at 409296-4005. The drawing will be held on Friday, Nov 19 th and the game is on Sunday, Nov 28th at Noon in NRG Stadium in Houston.
