By Wade Thibodeaux  With two major water line breaks within a week, Trinity Bay Conservation District crews had to work day and night to get water restored to their customers. One of the breaks was in the West water plant lines, causing water issues and boil water notices to customers in the Anahuac, Wallisville, and Hankamer areas and the other issue was in the Winnie Stowell area. The Winnie Stowell

issue had water off for several hours and crews worked almost all day Sunday to restore service.   The East Chambers High School Drill Team presented their annual follies last Monday evening at the High School Auditorium. Things were a little bit different this year as Covid-19 presented some restrictions to the attendance numbers, but nonetheless the

show must go on and it did. Strict social distancing was in place with a maximum of 50 percent capacity in the auditorium, but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm and spirit of the annual event. Drill team members spent the preceding Saturday in a camp-like

environment where they help future drill team members, some as young as Pre Kindergarten age, learn routines and dance moves and helped prepare the younger members for the stage and bright lights of the follies. When the night came for the performance, some of

the younger members took to the stage like old pros and others were a little overwhelmed with the lights and the audience. Regardless, all had a good time and can look back with fond memories of the 2021 East Chambers Buccadears Follies.
