Interestingly, this has been a journey different from any other I have experienced. The magazine production revolves around a four-week cycle, with strict deadlines every month. In our world, meeting these deadlines is like climbing a mountain for four weeks, where the closer we get to the finish, the steeper the incline.
Deadlines aside, one concept of life which has always amused me is how we often feel we have arrived at the top, only to discover that there is yet another ladder to climb. Is this why the best is yet to come? Does this keep us motivated to carry on in life regardless of our age or success?
Life’s journey never ends. It will continue to be one climb after another. After traveling around the world to over five continents, numerous countries and over 45 states in
the U.S., I have learned that this is the pattern of life for everyone.
I encourage you to embrace the challenge and the feeling of being uncomfortable when your situation changes yet again. Every day I tell my team to welcome change, because in this world of ever-increasing advancement in technology and pattern interruptions, the people who can adapt will be the ones who come out on top.
