THIS IS OUR 2020 INSTAGRAM YEAR BOOK. Last year, I enjoyed putting this yearbook together so much that I have decided to do it again. To those who don’t know about The Instagram Yearbook, let me explain. South Devon CTC, for nearly 3 years now, has had an Instagram page. The two people on the left hand side are the main contributors of photographic content. We do this to try and raise the profile of SDCTC to a wider audience, much in the same vain as Facebook. We have now tipped, 250 followers, some of which as far as The United States and Australia and we have also noticed that we are now connected to many other CTC groups nation wide and other people with the same passion for touring, audax and non competitive cycling. What does the above mean? To many, not that much. But it is
nice to see that we are recognised in a community of like minded people and groups. However, the yearbook is a snap shot in a period of time, that at present, we can look back on in a safer place. Although our events have not been running due to CV-19, we have all managed to prepare and organise ourselves with the motivation to get out there and cycle. We are all off to our virtual pub; “The Winged Wheel� tonight. Where drinks come in cans or bottles and chatting is done over a screen. Well, the one thing you can say about cycle tourists, we are resourceful.

2021 PHOTO COMPETITION We are bringing back The Highwayman Photo Competition. We will be setting a bi-monthly theme to aid creative responses. With the best of the best receiving the “much� coveted photo competition trophy! Further to this, with permission from the author of the photo, we will post each notable submission on to the South Devon CTC Instagram page. This will also created greater and more diverse content for our page. Submission themes will be issued either on the SDCTC e-mail round robin or The Highwayman magazine.
