AUCTIONEERS FOREWORD Halls are delighted to have received instructions from Rodbaston College of Agriculture to disperse their prizing winning herd of Hereford Cattle on Tuesday 19th November at Shrewsbury Auction Centre, following a change of policy at the College.

The Herd has been developed over the past decade following the purchase of foundation stock from the Llancillo Hall dispersal where Cows and Heifers were purchased, in the early days when developing the herd addition animals were selected from the Deiulacresse, Gomer, Trevor Hall and Phocle Herds. The Breeding policy has always looked to enhance maternal traits, temperament and confirmation with stock bulls sold to local and regional Dairy Farms.

The herd has been extensively shown around the local and national show circuit with the students maximising the great opportunity this has given them and success has been achieved at Local and County level with the females. The herd will be found in grand condition display There has not been a case of TB on the farm for 30months and the herd passed its TB test on Tuesday 8th October 2019. The herd has been completely closed for 4 years when the last stock bull was purchased; the farm has purchased dairy calves in that time. Is a member of a Premium Health Scheme with most animals BVD Vaccinated.

General Information & Sale Notes METHOD OF SALE All Pedigree Cattle will be sold in Guineas (105 Pence) and in catalogue order, unless any alterations are announced by the auctioneers. The Auctioneers reserved the right to split any lot as they see fit. The sale will be conducted under the Livestock Auctioneers association on Conditions of Sale 2018 as amended. A copy will be available at the Auctioneer’s office.

COMMISSIONS & PHONE BIDS The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commission to Purchaser for buyers unable to attend the sale, provided written instructions are received no later than 24 hours before the sale.

Telephone bids can be arranged by contacting the Auctioneers office.

PEDIGREE TRANSFERS & FEES All Pedigree animals are eligible for transfer at the purchasers cost.

HERD HEALTH As stated, declared by the vendor in this catalogue or from the rostrum.

SETTLEMENT & CLEARANCE OF STOCK Settlement in full is due immediately at the close of the sale. No animal may leave without a “Pass Out” from the Auctioneers Office. Purchasers unable to remove their stock on the day of the sale can by arrangement lairage the cattle overnight, all stock left at the Auction on this basis are at the purchasers risk.

EXPORT CONDITIONS This is done at full purchasers risk and arrangements must all be made by the purchaser. The costs of testing and all other reasonable expenses must be borne by the Purchaser. During the period of testing, the animal will remain at the Purchaser’s risk and full payments for the animal(s) sold under these conditions must be made by the Purchaser to the Auctioneers on the day of Sale.
