REMPSTONE PEDIGREE LIVESTOCK
20th Anniversary Sale
20th Anniversary Sale
Foreward It is with great pleasure the Ludgate family welcome you to Scotsgrove Farm, home of Rempstone Livestock, for our 20th Anniversary Production Sale. Twenty years of selective breeding has culminated in the cattle you see in the catalogue today. We have focused on sound, fertile, mobile and well-balanced cattle that has put us in the position to offer for sale these quality modern Herefords. Our emphasis has always been on female selection because without a strong maternal cow herd you have nothing. We have always tried to stick to these principles when selecting our future progeny. The beef industry is in a good place, with high demand for quality beef, so going forward suckler herds will be rewarded with premium prices for producing quality native cattle. There has never been a better time to invest in reliable genetics to move your herd forward and, hopefully, you will find these genetics in our sale. The offering in this catalogue gives you access to all of the best cow families at Rempstone. You have our guarantee that nothing has been held back, so any potential purchaser has the opportunity to buy our best. The sires and dams of the cattle on offer today have bred National Champions, many show winners and record-breaking sale toppers. Over the last 20 years we have selected and bought cattle from the top herds in the breed, including Solpoll, Dendor, Fisher, Kinglee, Blakesley, Mara and Lancillo Hall, all of which have had a major influence on what you see here today. We have made mistakes along the way, but I hope we have been quick enough to realise this so that when we have used the wrong bull or have lost certain important traits in the females, we have been honest with ourselves and quickly corrected this. Please remember this is only our take on what a Hereford should look like. Along with selecting the best animals, you must also select the best people, so we would like to thank our master stockman, Joe Clark, for his important influence and the input he has brought to the Rempstone herd. We would like to thank everyone who has helped us over the last twenty years and hope you all like the cattle in this catalogue as much as we do. In association with the Hereford Cattle Society

Our Auctioneer It gives me great pleasure to have instructions to conduct the 20th Anniversary sale for Rempstone Herefords. Rarely do opportunities like this come about. A sale which will mark a point in time for the Hereford breed. I hope you’re lucky enough to bid last and be part of the breed’s history! Every heifer and bull on offer comes with the multi-generational stars of the breed combining National or Recognition, show success or sale topping prices, with Breed Character power femininity and class. This truly is a sale full of highlights…. I just do not know how you could pick just one! I look forward to seeing breeders and friends old and new at Scotsgrove on Saturday 19th September for what is sure to be a day for the breed to remember well into the future. However, if you cannot make it. 20th Anniversary Sale
Foreword - John Goodson
A word from our vet, Jonathan Goodson of Goodsons Farm Vets. I have been involved with the herd for around 6 years now, working very closely with the stockman Joe Clark on specific goals to boost the overall health and productivity of the cattle on the farm. I firmly believe in the value of high health testing and our annual blood testing consists of BVD, IBR and Johnes of which the herd are fully accredited and a Johnes level 1 status. The herd did have a lepto accreditation status which was given up in in 2021 when purchasing previous stock bull Dendor 1 Nairobi whom had previously been lepto vaccinated, however since then a strict post show/ purchase isolation and blood testing protocol has never show any positive result for any disease so therefore I would be very confident in a clear test for all cattle in the sale. Regular blood and faecal testing is carried out on the herd looking for worm and fluke. But also looking for any kind of mineral deficiency. We have found that the herd in recent years have not had any burden of worm or fluke to require testing and therefore have not needed to use any wormers for the last 4 seasons reducing input costs and avoiding the risk of wormer resistance. Within the blood testing we were able to see that some of the younger cows in the herd had developed a slight zinc deficiency which can and we think was affecting fertility amongst the herd. From this the decision was made to swap to a biannual bolusing programme using Alltrace bolus’s and we have seen a great boost in overall fertility even last year during extreme weather conditions. Our herd Vaccination protocol consists of all calves put onto the Bravoxin system from 6 weeks of age, which is our insurance policy against any clostridial losses at grazing. We also double pneumonia vaccinate pre housing with Bovalto Respi 3 to maximise feed efficiency and weight gain. All sale cattle have been double blue tongue vaccinated with Bultavo 3 and a whole herd TB1 test was completed in March 2026. All cattle will be pre-movement TB tested and all bulls will be semen tested 30 days prior to the sale to meet current government guidance to be allowed to move to Scotland. I will be attending the sale and available to talk to anyone about the overall health of the cattle or answer any questions you may have. Alternatively, please get in touch with me prior to the sale if you have any questions. SIRES
Dendor 1 Nairobi
Dendor 1 Nairobi has firmly established himself as one of the most influential Poll Hereford sires of his generation. Combining exceptional breed character, natural thickness, structural correctness and outstanding breeding ability, he has consistently produced cattle that excel in both the show ring and in the field. He would have to go down as one of, if not the most, influential sires we have ever used at Rempstone. Nairobi had great success himself at The Poll show winning junior champion in 2016 before claiming the overall championship at the same show in 2018. But his progeny’s successes speak volumes on how this bull breeds. Far too many to name them all but highlights include; Alpha bull of the year and sold for then record prices of 18,000 gns, Worldwide who sold for 10,000gns to Solpoll, Alcatraz who sold to Hoghton View, Waspy who sold to Spartan, Anchorman sold for 7500 to Wykeham. Dendor also had success with him including, Lilac Wine 37th female of the year 2025,Ruby 38th sold for 7000gns at DGS 2025, and have sold bulls to top pedigree herds also. His calves are easy born, grow like weeds and always end up being at the top end of our herd. His daughters have top class udders full of milk, and always rear a special calf. The semen lots in this sale will be the last one’s to sell, i dont think I need to tell you what to do!

Solpoll 1 Nobility
Nobility has been one of the most influential sires in the development of the Rempstone Hereford herd. A son of the renowned Panmure 1 Henry, Nobility has consistently stamped his progeny with exceptional breed character, structural correctness, style, and performance. His offspring have enjoyed outstanding success in both the show ring and the sale ring, helping to elevate our herds standing. SIRES
Auckvale 1 Avatar
Avatar 2238A is proving himself as a really consistent guaranteed heifer bull, consistently stamping his progeny with exceptional style, length, muscle expression and structural correctness. His sons are admired for their depth, natural thickness and easy-doing ability, while his daughters exhibit femininity, capacity and are backed by a pedigree and EBV’s to milk. He also looks to be breeding Huge IMF (marbling) figures with real scanning data being off the charts. Avatar has been the easiest calving bull we have ever used with his calves all being born easy and below 35kg. His Full sister won best heifer calf in the North of England herd competition 2025, and his first calf won Reserve junior champion at Shrewsbury calf show 2025. Avatar breeds cattle with an outstanding balance of phenotype and functionality, producing quiet, sound, commercially relevant stock that perform in a range of production systems. His consistency throughout this sale draft is a testament to his breeding ability, with his progeny displaying the uniformity, quality and structural integrity that commercial and pedigree breeders alike are seeking.

Fisher 1 Prospect
A standout son of the influential Fisher 1 Jaguar, Prospect combines exceptional breed character, structural correctness , growth and natural thickness with a proven maternal pedigree. He was Crowned Breed Champion at the 2019 Royal Three Counties Show, Prospect quickly established himself as one of the flagship sires here at Rempstone. He is backed by huge performance numbers being in the top 1% for Retail beef yield, Terminal index and Self Replacing index and top 10% on carcass weight 400 and 600 day growth rates. His progeny are certainly performing with Fisher selling two bulls for 8.5k and 7k. SIRES
Solpoll 1 Ace
Ace is our newest recruit to join Rempstone. Purchased privately from the McMordies, we think he’s the next big thing. Phenotypically he displays everything we are after. We are always looking for a bull to have that power and presence whilst being backed by maternal excellence. We think Ace ticks all those boxes. He has the most reliable pedigree in the game, being a son of the excellent ai sire Kinglee 1 Hero and out of the world renowned Duchess 591 donor cow. THe duchesses have made a big impact here and around the world. His numbers are excellent too, with him being in the Top 1% for 200,400 600 day growth rates, mature cow weight, and 20o day milk indexes and top 5% for carcass weight, Terminal index and self replacing index. We took him out for a spin at Bucks county show 2025 at the only show he’s been to and he won Supreme Interbreed Champion. There’s no prizes to speak of yet with his progeny as they are all too young, but by the look of the first 4 heifer calves we’ve had ( which are in the sale ) the future for him here is really exciting.

He may be called Chavvy, but there is nothing but absolute royalty and class about this stylish young herd sire. Backed by the famous Fashion cow family, which has produced numerous successful females and bulls for pedigree herds across the country, his genetics credentials are second to none. His granddam, Kinglee 1 Fashion 304, was one of Rempstone’s most prolific donors, producing an incredible 20 registered progeny and leaving a lasting influence within the herd. This is exactly the type of cow family that consistently breeds cattle with longevity, performance and profitability. His figures are equally impressive, ranking in the top 10% of the breed for all growth EBVs, the top 5% for both breed indexes and an outstanding top 1% for Retail Beef Yield. We debated long and hard about offering this young bull, but opportunities like this deserve to be shared. Dynamite is exactly as his name suggests— packed with explosive potential. Stylish, exceptionally well balanced and carrying tremendous natural muscle, he has been admired from an early age for both his presence and breed character. He is bred from the outstanding Myrtle family, with his dam already proving herself by producing Rempstone 1 Virus, Spring Show & Sale Champion in 2022 before selling for 11,000gns and now working successfully at Dendor Herefords. His maternal sister, Myrtle N639, also sold for 5,000gns at Designer Genes, further highlighting the consistency of this remarkable family. We don’t hand out names like Dynamite lightly, but we genuinely believe this young bull has all the credentials to live up to it.
