To The Man Who Loves Her Gently You met her where her heart was torn, A fragile soul, weathered, worn. She carried scars the world can’t see, Yet still you chose her faithfully. You did not rush, you did not press, You honored pain, you gave her rest. In silence, strength, and patient care, You showed her love was truly there. For hands once raised in harm and shame,
You reached instead with healing flame. For words once sharp that cut her deep, You whisper truths her soul can keep. You’ve taught her trust can bloom again, That broken hearts can learn to mend. With every moment, kind and true, She sees what love looks like in you. So thank you for the gentle fight, For choosing grace, for being light. For proving love is not control, It heals, it frees, it makes us whole. by Shamika White

“Brave the Dark” They stood when others trembled, marched when fear took hold, through valleys deep and shadows cold, their hearts were made of gold. They braved the dark when light was dim, trusting God would carry them, through foreign lands and sleepless nights, they fought the good, eternal fight. They didn’t do it for fame or name, they carried crosses, not for gain. With faith as shield, and hope their mark, they lit the way through endless dark. Some came home with wounds unseen, scars of silence, haunted dreams. Yet still they rise, they serve, they stand, heroes molded by Heaven’s hand. For freedom’s price they gave their all, to answer duty’s sacred call. And though their journey bore the weight, they trusted God to orchestrate. So we honor them...our sisters, our brothers, our mothers, our fathers, our sons and others. For when the trumpet sounds so stark, we’ll know.... they were the ones who braved the dark.
