An anonymous gift capped off the top tier of donations, which includes gifts totaling more than $100 million. In other news, Harvard Athletics Director Robert L. AROUND THE IVIES

YALE Yale University’s chief investment officer David Swensen will meet with undergraduates about the University’s endowment Friday, according to the Yale Daily News. Those sitting down with Swensen include the Yale College Council President, members of the Yale Student Environmental Coalition, and activists from the Endowment Justice Coalition — a group that opposes Yale’s investment in the Puerto Rican debt, fossil fuels, private prisons, and “predatory lending.” The students will meet with Yale’s director of administrative affairs Pilar Montalvo on Wednesday to set Friday’s agenda.

PRINCETON Marshawn Lynch, a former running back in the National Football League, was selected as Princeton’s Class Day speaker Tuesday. Lynch, who was named to the Pro Bowl five times, won the Super Bowl as a running back for the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. Lynch earned the nickname “beast mode” for his ability to break tackles and run through defenders. He made headlines after Super Bowl XLIX Media Day when he answered every question by saying, “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”

UPENN The University of Pennsylvania took in almost $258 million from foreign organizations between 2013 and mid-2019 — and more foreign contributions may yet be disclosed, the Daily Pennslyvanian reported. A Philadelphia Inquirer report first found that more than 30 percent of the foreign money Penn took came from anonymous sources. The report comes less than two weeks after the Department of Education announced it was launching an investigation into Harvard and Yale’s disclosure of foreign funding.
