There seems to be so much out on tour at the moment, giving audiences a great deal of choice in both what they go and see, and where they go to see it. Given this choice, it’s good to see the number of shows and gigs at The Harlington continually growing, together with the number of people attending. Full houses have now become quite a common sight, and I can only thank you, our audiences, for helping us to get to this stage.

Our auditorium lends itself to a more informal experience, with intimate cabaret layouts and standing concerts allowing you to get up close to the action on stage, in a way that you can’t do so much these days. It’s the best way to enjoy a concert or gig, especially as you can grab a drink at the same time and enjoy a good dance when you feel like it. We do have a more serious side too, with all-seated cabaret or theatre layouts used when the time is right, but we do pride ourselves on being flexible enough to create a mood befitting the event, rather than being tied to only doing things one way.

We’ve got another full season coming up, with the usual mix of brand new shows, together with our returning favourites. Variety is certainly the spice of life - and it’s always exciting to bring something new to the venue for the first time and to see you, our audiences, getting behind us and ensuring that we can continue to bring great entertainment to Fleet. With small venues closing all the time, we rely on your support, so thank you!

If you enjoy your rock and blues, you won’t be disappointed with our line-up in 2019. We kick off the year with our big January guitar fest featuring Northsyde, which blew everybody away on its last outing. It’s now bigger than ever, with several guest musicians appearing, making the much anticipated mega jam something to behold! The star of 2018 and the one they’re all talking about is Kris Barras, who will be appearing in February, and tickets are already selling well. There will be more to come, including the possibility of some big names from across the pond, but these weren’t confirmed at the time of going to press, so keep your eyes out for additions!

Visiting us for the first time will be Scottish rockers Big Country, the Johnny Cash Roadshow, Stacey Kent, James Taylor Quartet, ShowHawk Duo and Ann Widdecombe to mention a few, whilst back after great success last time out will be the one and only Geno Washington!

There’s plenty more too, including all of our usual favourites, so do have a flick through, and come and see us soon for a warm Harlington welcome and good times.

SEATING PLANS

HOW TO FIND US...

At The Harlington, we try to adapt our seating plans to suit different types of show.

The Harlington is situated in the centre of town on Fleet Road and is surrounded by car parks (pay & display). These can be accessed from Fleet Road at the front of the building, Victoria Road to the side or Harlington Way at the rear. The Gurkha Square car park at the front of the building is limited to 2 hours during the day, and in the evening tends to be more expensive to use than the other car parks which offer a flat fee of ÂŁ1 for the evening after 6pm. If parking for longer than 2 hours during the day, Victoria Road is the most ideal car park.

They generally fall into the catagories of theatre, cabaret, or standing but each can differ slightly.

The seating layout for our annual pantomime is different, as it involves building tiered seating specifically for the production, and cabaret layouts can vary from fully seated to a mix of seated and standing or all standing, with different sizes of dance floor. These are created to give the customer the best possible experience every time. Seating options are shown in the information boxes at the bottom of each page in this guide.

The seating plan for performances can be seen online when booking tickets or can be discussed with a member of box office staff, and most allow you to choose where you sit with the exception of unreserved performances. The two most common seating plans are shown below.

Train services into Fleet are frequent with the station being on the main Southampton to Waterloo line with access from towns such as Basingstoke and Farnborough being very quick and easy. From the station head straight up Fleet Road towards the town centre. The Harlington can be found on the right hand side of the road (20 minutes approximately by foot or 3-5 minutes by taxi). Bus services also run along Fleet Road and the surrounding area.

LATECOMERS

The box office is open Monday - Friday between 10am - 5pm and on Saturday between 10am - 3pm (open later on performance days). Tickets can be purchased at any time via the website (fees apply).

Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance.

FEES

The Function bar is open before the show and during the interval and the café during matinee performances. There is an additional bar inside the auditorium which is open throughout and after most cabaret shows.

A 25p per ticket booking fee is charged to all telephone and counter sales to cover administrative, box office and banking costs. Online booking fees are charged at £1.00 per ticket. There is an optional £1.00 postage fee per transaction.

TICKET COLLECTION

We’re happy to hold tickets tickets at the box office for collection or will post them out at your request (£1.00 postage fee). Tickets purchased online may be printed at home.

REFUNDS

Once purchased, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges on tickets unless an event is cancelled.

RESERVATIONS

We can reserve tickets for up to 3 days. Restrictions do apply closer to the date of a performance, when an event is near to sell-out, or at a producer/promoter’s request.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Under 18s are welcome to attend the majority of our shows when accompanied by an adult. This is left to the discretion of the parent/guardian. Some performances do carry a suggested age limit as we feel they are not suitable for a younger audience. If in doubt, please check with the Box Office.

BARS/CAFÉ

ACCESS

Our performance spaces, bars and toilets are all accessible. To ensure a comfortable visit, please inform our staff at time of booking if you require any further assistance.

CLOAKROOM FACILITY

Use our cloakroom facility to store your items safely throughout the evening (small charge applies).

This service is available at most of our Concert Standing gigs. When applicable this will be indicated in the information box for the show.

(Valuables should be removed as we cannot accept liability for items left in bags or pockets).

MEAL TICKETS

When a meal ticket is purchased with an event, please note the arrival time, which will normally be earlier than the standard “doors open” time. This is to allow you enough time to enjoy your food before the performance starts.

STANDING/DANCING

It is the nature of some events that audience members will stand/dance. Refunds will not be made on these occasions but we may be able to re-seat you if you speak to a member of staff.
