Welcome
WELCOME TO THE HARLINGTON...
NEW - DON'T MISS
With more sold out shows than ever before, The Harlington really is the place to come for a great night of live entertainment. It’s fun, friendly and we’re now offering more variety than ever before. We’re always looking to offer a unique experience at all of our events, and take pride in doing things our own way, so it’s great to see that our audiences keep returning for more.
Keep an eye on the website for up to date announcements
It’s always been part of the plan to attract more original bands and artists to the venue in addition to the great choice of tributes, live comedy, theatre and party nights that we already feature, and due to the continued support of our audiences, we’re starting to become a must-play venue for a growing number of tour bookers. We never forget that we’re an intimate venue so there is a limit, but we set our sights high and have manged to secure several well-known names over the past few years, with more to come. I’m also proud to be working with some of the best emerging bands, musicians and songwriters who are starting to make a name for themselves. They deserve to be heard, such is their sheer talent, so rather than watching the endless talent shows on television, come out to your local venue and support the real thing. Take a chance and I guarantee you’ll be glad you did!

The Brand New Heavies
Coming up in 2018 we’ve got none other than The Brand New Heavies, who scored sixteen top 40 singles and over 2.5 million album sales, with the band still centred around founder members and songwriters Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy to this day. We’re also pleased to have The South coming to Fleet after trying for some time to get our name on their tour schedule! Formed by members of The Beautiful South when they split in 2007 and featuring ex singer Alison Wheeler, this will be a real treat for fans. We’ve got the undisputed Master of Soul Geno Washington with the Ram Jam Band who will be working his magic, incredible rock & blues from Sari Schorr & the Engine Room plus Ash Wilson for good measure, and a double header from Catfish & Northsyde. Just to mix things up a bit, the Magnificent Music Hall will be paying us a visit for a matinee featuring stars from BBC TV’s The Good Old Days to add some real variety to proceedings. As if that weren’t enough, we’ve been scouring the globe in search of the very best tributes on the planet and will be bringing some new bands to The Harlington in addition to a few returning favourites. Don’t forget that February sees the very last ever official show for The Great Pretender together with the HRH Band in what has become a crowd favourite here. This will be a proper farewell party, so don’t leave it too late to get your tickets. We’ve got comedy via our monthly comedy club, now entering its 8th year, plus we’ve secured a tour date for the hugely popular Tom Allen, who is selling out venues all over the country. Come and see us soon for a warm Harlington welcome & good times.

PATERSON USA (2016)
Mar 12th 118 mins
A reunion between a judge and a retired prosecutor sparks an emotional connection and fresh interest in a long-forgotten case. This is an Oscar-winning psychological thriller with great performances and an intriguing story.
Paterson is a hardworking bus driver with a hidden talent. He sees the beauty in everyday things that most people can’t. He shares his life with a weird dog and a wonderfully kooky girlfriend. An intriguing, offbeat, charming film.

An actor from a 70’s TV series is offered the chance of a comeback in a bizarre twist of fate. Imagine a film that mixes the “Bionic Man” with Bergerac (on the Isle of Man) and you begin to grasp the surreal craziness of this comedy.
A doctor is called to a convent and is shocked to discover several nuns in an advanced state of pregnancy. What has happened ? A moving and provocative study of belief, duty, compassion and acceptance. An unexpected gem of a film.

An extraordinary comedy about the reunion between an extrovert father and his elegant, restrained daughter. Despite cringe-inducing pranks, the father seems to unlock a new side to his previously reserved daughter’s character.

Seating
SEATING PLANS
HOW TO FIND US...
At The Harlington, we try to adapt our seating plans to suit different types of show.
The Harlington is situated in the centre of town on Fleet Road and is surrounded by car parks (pay & display). These can be accessed from Fleet Road at the front of the building, Victoria Road to the side or Harlington Way at the rear. The Gurkha Square car park at the front of the building is limited to 2 hours during the day, and in the evening tends to be more expensive to use than the other car parks which offer a flat fee of ÂŁ1 for the evening after 6pm. If parking for longer than 2 hours during the day, Victoria Road is the most ideal car park.
They generally fall into the categories of theatre or cabaret, but can differ slightly. The seating layout for our annual pantomime is different, as it involves building tiered seating specifically for the production, and cabaret layouts can vary from fully seated to a mix of seated and standing or all standing, with different sizes of dance floor. These are created to give the customer the best possible experience every time. Seating options are shown in the information boxes at the bottom of each page in this guide. The seating plan for performances can be seen online when booking tickets or can be discussed with a member of box office staff, and most allow you to choose where you sit with the exception of unreserved performances. The two most common seating plans are shown below.
Train services into Fleet are frequent with the station being on the main Southampton to Waterloo line with access from towns such as Basingstoke and Farnborough being very quick and easy. From the station head straight up Fleet Road towards the town centre. The Harlington can be found on the right hand side of the road (20 minutes approximately by foot or 3-5 minutes by taxi). Bus services also run along Fleet Road and the surrounding area.

BOX OFFICE OPENING TIMES
LATECOMERS
The box office is open Monday - Friday between 10am - 5pm and on Saturday between 10am - 3pm (open later on performance days). Tickets can be purchased at any time via the website (fees apply).
Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance.
FEES
The Function bar is open before the show and during the interval and the café during matinee performances. There is an additional bar inside the auditorium which is open throughout and after most cabaret shows.
We do not charge any booking fees for telephone or counter sales when paid by debit card or cash. A small fee is chargeable for credit card payments dependant on the value of the sale. Online booking fees are charged at 90p per ticket. There is an optional £1.00 postage fee per transaction.
TICKET COLLECTION
We’re happy to hold tickets at the box office for collection or will post them out at your request (£1.00 postage fee).
REFUNDS
Once purchased, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges on tickets unless an event is cancelled.
RESERVATIONS
We can reserve tickets for up to 3 days. Restrictions do apply closer to the date of a performance, when an event is near to sell-out, or at a producer/promoter’s request.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Under 18s are welcome to attend the majority of our shows when accompanied by an adult. This is left to the discretion of the parent/guardian. Some performances do carry a suggested age limit as we feel they are not suitable for a younger audience. If in doubt, please check with the Box Office.
MEAL TICKETS
When a meal ticket is purchased with an event, please note the arrival time, which will normally be earlier than the standard “doors open” time. This is to allow you enough time to enjoy your food before the performance starts.
STANDING/DANCING
It is the nature of some events that audience members will stand/dance. Refunds will not be made on these occasions but we may be able to re-seat you if you speak to a member of staff.
BARS/CAFÉ
ACCESS
Our performance spaces, bars and toilets are all accessible. To ensure a comfortable visit, please inform our staff at time of booking if you require any further assistance.
CLOAKROOM FACILITY
Use our cloakroom facility to store your items safely throughout the evening (small charge applies). This service is available on most of our live music performances where standing tickets are sold. When applicable this will be indicated in the information box for the show. (Valuables should be removed as we cannot accept liability for items left in bags or pockets).
JOIN OUR MAILING LIST
For information on forthcoming events or special offers, call the box office on 01252 811009 and ask to be added to our mailing list. Alternatively email customerservices@fleet-tc.gov.uk or visit the contact page on the website. We won’t share your details with anybody else. All information contained in this brochure was correct to the best of our knowledge at time of going to press.
JOB/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We’re always looking for good team members for a variety of roles within the venue. If you’d be interested in joining us as a member of show staff, or would like to see shows for free and support your community venue as a passionate volunteer we would love to hear from you!
