Our Durawood® lumber is made from HDPE recycled plastic that's been sterilized for safety and to eliminate impurities.

Durawood contains no waste-wood fiber. Not only will it not absorb water, but also won’t rot, splinter, crack or attract termites. It also never needs stain or any other kind of sealant, yet holds up to vigorous rains, extreme temperatures, and high winds, making it the perfect outdoor furniture material.

DURAWOOD® HDPE

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is one of the most versatile and recyclable materials around. HDPE is used in a wide variety of applications, including bottles, milk jugs, shampoo bottles, bleach bottles, cutting boards, and piping. Known for its outstanding tensile strength and large strength-todensity ratio, HDPE has a high-impact resistance and melting point.

Outside of the business of perfecting relaxation, one of the things that we take seriously is hospitality. Nothing shows hospitality more than cooking a great meal and inviting friends and family over to share it. Here in Pawleys Island we can argue all day about the best dish to serve. Favorites such as shrimp and grits, BBQ, fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, and biscuits can all spark heated discussions but the one thing we can all agree on is our beloved sweet iced tea. Sweet tea is an integral part of our everyday life and just so happens to go perfectly with a soft sway in a hammock or time spent catching up with loved ones on the porch while sitting in one of our low country rockers.

Sweet Iced Tea

• Bring 4 or 5 cups of water to a boil then remove from heat.

• Drop in 3 family-sized tea bags (Lipton® or Luzianne® are good options); dunk them a few times to soak them through and let the strings hang over the side of the pot.

• Let the bags steep for 5 minutes or so, then pull them out.

• Dump in some sugar, a good starting point is 1 cup and then you can go up from there.

• Give it a good stir.

• Pour this into a pitcher and fill the rest of the way with water.

• Put it in the refrigerator to cool down, a couple hours will do.

• Pour it over ice, add a squeeze of lemon if you prefer and enjoy!

• It will last in the fridge for a week, but ours never makes it that long.
