Reforestation ROI
88% of UK consumers want brands to take responsibility for the planet - not just make profits.
restoring ecosystems can return ÂŁ9 in economic benefits for every ÂŁ1 invested.
We Work With Brands to Build a Better, Greener Earth
Weâve Grown Over 100,000 Trees But weâre not stopping there... Weâre a movement for ethical reforestation - one that puts ecosystems, biodiversity, and communities first. Founded with a mission to plant one million trees, we partner with trusted grassroots organisations around the world to restore degraded land using native species, long-term care, and fair wages for local people. Because planting trees isn't enough - they have to survive, thrive, and support life. Weâre entirely volunteer-led in the UK, which means 86% of every ÂŁ1 donated goes straight to the ground. No admin fees. No offsets. No corporate loopholes. Just real, transparent impact - driven by brands who want to do better by the planet.
Reforestation Done Right
The Problem
What we do
Only 8% of climate funding reaches local communities. (CPI, 2022)
86% of donations go directly to grassroots planting and fair wages.
Many schemes focus on short-term planting targets.
We fund long-term ecosystem restorationâfrom planting to protection and growth.
Most offset programmes let polluters pay to look green.
We reject carbon offsets. Reforestation isnât a transaction, itâs a moral responsibility.
Tree survival rates in large-scale planting can be as low as 50%. (WRI)
We work with local experts to ensure planting success and native biodiversity recovery.
Some initiatives spend heavily on admin and marketing.
Weâre volunteer-led in the UKâ keeping overhead low and impact high.
Big brands dominate the sustainability spaceâwith PR-first approaches.
We give small brands a platform for real impact without greenwashing.

Case Study:
Restoring Kenyaâs Mangroves, Supporting Coastal Communities
Impact At A Glance
Mangrove forests are among the world's most important ecosystems, providing vital protection for coastlines, supporting biodiversity, and sustaining local livelihoods. Yet along Kenya's coastline, years of environmental degradation have placed these unique habitats under increasing pressure. As mangroves disappear, communities become more vulnerable to coastal erosion, marine biodiversity declines, and important natural resources are lost. Without intervention, both people and nature face an uncertain future. This is where ethical reforestation can make a genuine difference.
Native ecosystems restored, helping to improve biodiversity
Our Approach
Sustainable income opportunities for local communities
Stronger coastal protection against erosion and storm damage Improved marine biodiversity and fish stocks
Through our partnership with Community Based Environmental Conservation (COBEC), The Greener Earth Project supports a community-led restoration programme near Kilifi. Together, we are helping to restore degraded coastal landscapes by planting native mangrove species. But this project is about more than planting trees; it provides employment opportunities for local communities through nursery management, seed collection, planting, and ongoing stewardshipâcreating both environmental and social impact that lasts.
Why It Matters This is what ethical reforestation looks like. No offsets. No shortcuts. No greenwashing. Just real investment in ecosystems, biodiversity, and communities. Delivering impact that lasts.
Our Approach In Action Nursery & Seed Collection
Planting
Care & Stewardship
Local communities collect seeds and grow native mangrove seedlings in nurseries.
Seedlings are planted in degraded coastal areas by local teams, restoring natural habitats.
Ongoing monitoring and protection ensure mangroves grow, thrive, and support future generations.

The Greener Earth Project x ReForest Now: Regenerating Australia's Rainforests About Status
Live
Supported Since
2024
SDGs Partnering with ReForest Now, a leading Australian non-profit, The Greener Earth Project supports the restoration of rainforest ecosystems in Northern New South Wales and Far North Queenslandâareas devastated by deforestation and climate change. The project focuses on biodiversity, reforesting sites like the Big Scrub by planting over 150 native species, including endangered and keystone varieties. This work is part of our broader commitment to ethical reforestation: no offsets, no greenwashingâjust real investment in ecosystems, biodiversity, and the communities that depend on them.

The Greener Earth Project x COBEC: Reviving Kenyaâs Coastal Mangrove Ecosystems About Status
Live
Supported Since
2024
SDGs In partnership with Community Based Environmental Conservation (COBEC), The Greener Earth Project supports the restoration of mangrove ecosystems along Kenyaâs coast, particularly in Marereni, Kilifi County. This initiative involves planting native mangrove species such as Rhizophora mucronata, Ceriops tagal, and Avicennia marina, which are vital for coastal protection, biodiversity, and local livelihoods. Beyond ecological restoration, the project empowers local communities by providing employment opportunities in nursery management and tree planting, fostering sustainable income sources. This work exemplifies our commitment to ethical reforestation: no offsets, no greenwashingâjust genuine investment in ecosystems, biodiversity, and the communities that depend on them.
