77th Anniversary with Charitable Endeavors

Dubai, UAE - Beta Sigma Fraternity, a renowned organization known for its commitment to academic excellence, community service, and brotherhood, celebrated its 77th anniversary on 14 July 2023. The Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association UAE has organized a series of events to commemorate their significant milestone, including a medical mission and an anniversary celebration with the induction of new officers.

All that is good and noble in man, the Beta Sigma Fraternity upholds its core values with unwavering dedication. Rooted in a sense of duty to God, country, family, school and fraternity, they strive to make a positive impact in the world. The Saga of Men continues as they cultivate the seeds of love and uproot the weeds of hatred, avarice, and envy.

On 15 July 2023, the Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association UAE kickstarted their charitable endeavors by conducting a Medical Mission at the Department of Migrant Workers in Dubai. This initiative, attended by honorable John Rio A. Bautista, Labor Attaché, aimed to provide much-needed healthcare services to the migrant workers who have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the country. The Medical Mission offered free medical check-ups, consultations, and basic treatments to ensure the well-being of the workers. The migrant workers were also afforded free phone calls to their loved ones, providing them with a moment of emotional connection and support. At the conclusion of the medical mission, a heartwarming moment ensued as all the brothers of Beta Sigma Fraternity, sisters of the Beta Sigma Fraternity Ladies Corps and Sigma Beta Sorority, and the migrant workers came together to enjoy a simple and delightful lunch, fostering a sense of camaraderie and solidarity among all participants.

“We believe in giving back to society, and the Medical Mission aligns perfectly with our core values of service and compassion,” said Dr. Antonio Ronaldo Fabian, Advisor of the Beta Sigma Fraternity UAE Alumni Association and the Medical Mission’s Team Leader. “We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need and improving the healthcare access for the underprivileged.”

In the evening of 15 July 2023, the Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association UAE gathered at the Land Mark Hotel for their Anniversary Celebration and the Induction of Officers. The event was a grand affair, filled with nostalgia, fellowship, and a renewed commitment to the fraternity’s principles. Distinguished alumni fraternity members, and their families gathered to celebrate the fraternity’s rich history and honor the achievements of its members.

The Induction of Officers ceremony was the highlight of the evening, as new leaders were sworn in to guide the fraternity forward in the coming year. These officers, carefully selected for their dedication and leadership qualities, will assume important responsibilities in upholding the fraternity’s traditions and fostering its growth. As one of the fraternity mottos states: “work, work, work...”
