This was the first sketch I drew was of a shape I imagined both an unborn fetus and a decomposing body could inhabit. Reflecting on the shape I drew I think it

cocoon

resembles a as well as an hour glass, this is significant as a cocoon represent a transition between

two bodies + realities and serves as a means of

regeneration.

The connotations of an hourglass are the passage of time/time running out, again this is highly relevant to my project because as a baby is born their time is just beginning in contrast when someone dies their time is ending and this is parallel to the mechanism of an hourglass. Additionally the shape resembles the infinity symbol which fits the meaning behind project.
