INTRODUCTION
Co-designed and co-written by over 35 families, librarians, AI, and a multidisciplinary team of artists, educators, and writers at The GIANT Room, this GIANT Book of Jokes celebrates the silliest postcards and their characters, doodles, jokes, and messages!
We are extremely honored to partner with Connecticut State Libraries and bring GIANT creative STEM experiences to the Connecticut community at the Fair Haven Branch Library and the Windsor Locks Public Library. We implemented a Remix Station at each library with their team: Sharon Breslow from Fair Haven and Jane Frankel, Maria Carrasquillo, and Lois Crozier from Windsor Locks.
Participants joined, dreamed, created, and shared. Here, we have “remixed” their creations into a one-of-a-kind set, which includes real postcards that participants can actually share with friends and family and this book of jokes, featuring the postcards and some silly activities inspired by them.
I want to thank the librarians and staff from the Fair Haven Branch Library and the Windsor Locks Public Library for their partnership.
