MICHAEL WHITEHEAD

A portrait, a landscape, an architectural rendering, are all observations or proposals of what exists and the possibility of what could exist as either an interpretation based on visual reference, or the representation of an idea. Undertaking the painting process with reaction and emotion as reference points yields its unique imagery and conveys another visual language to the observer.

YANNI VAN ZIJL

In these sculptural works, form and fluidity merge into a language of movement—an unbroken dance of energy, space, and time. Each piece, reminiscent of the infinite, embodies the ceaseless flow of existence: the ebb and swell of the natural world, the unseen currents of the wind, the tides, the breath, the pulse of life itself.

Crafted in clay and ceramic, these sculptures possess an organic fluidity, their sinuous curves twisting and folding like ribbons caught in the wind—never static, never still. They speak to the cycles that define our world: creation and dissolution, departure and return, the infinite loops of renewal. There is no harshness here, no rigid angles to contain the movement; rather, each curve invites the eye to follow its path, tracing a journey without beginning or end.

The artist draws from nature ’s own choreography—waves unfurling, branches bending, dunes shifting—where motion exists even in stillness. The clay, once formless, is coaxed into shape with instinct and spontaneity, echoing the effortless yet profound way nature sculpts the landscape.

More than objects, these sculptures are experiences—meditations on movement, infinity, and the beauty of change. Each is unique, a singular expression of the artist ’s hand and vision, just as no two moments in time are ever the same. They remind us that to move is to live, to change is to exist, infinity is weightless, eternal.
