MUSIC THERAPY

Music Therapy is the structured use of music experiences by a trained professional to help individuals of all ages and abilities achieve specific goals such as attention to task, motor development, appropriate social interaction, language development, positive self-worth, emotional expression, and much more. Scholarships are offered for Music Therapy through a variety of sources. To obtain a scholarship form, contact Ann Marie Raddell, Director of Creative Arts Therapies at (440) 951-7500 x124. Third party pay is welcomed and accepted from Deepwood, NEON Cuyahoga County and Lake County), Family and Children First Council, Zanes Foundation, and several other organizations. Private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare are not accepted. ART THERAPY

Art Therapy is "the therapeutic use of making" used to promote physical, social, and emotional health, and wellbeing. Everyone can create art! In Art Therapy, ANY person can be successful regardless of their ability. No prior arts experience is required. At FAA the Art Therapist (ATR) works closely with parents and caregivers to develop goals based on the individual's physical, behavioral, social, emotional, cognitive, language, and communications needs. Benefits of art therapy may include improvements in fine motor skills, participation, attention span, social skills, turn-taking, quality of life, creative expression, and self-awareness. Art making sessions may include drawing, painting, and/or sculpture. Scholarships are available for families who qualify. The Fine Arts Association Adapted Dance program is designed for individuals with differing abilities, focusing on creating an open environment in which all abilities can participate. Explore a variety of movement with the opportunity for self-expression through dance. Learn spatial awareness, balance, and body control.

8:00 AM to 9:00 AM Before Camp Care Is school out for MLK Day on Monday, January 16, 2023? Bring the kids to Fine Arts to explore dance, music, visual arts, and theatre while connecting to the life and impact of Martin Luther King, Jr. Campers should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. Before Camp Care is INCLUDED in camp tuition! Drop off your camper anytime between 8:00 - 9:00 AM. Before Camp Care includes supervised, quiet time activities (games, drawing, etc.).

The Family Ties Homeschool Programprovides enriching, hands-on art experiences designed specifically for homeschooled students. This session, the program will continue to be centered around FAA's Youth Theatre Production The Jungle Book! The program's curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Department of Education's Academic Content Standards in Fine Arts.

Schedule:

• Students rotate through 55-minute classes in visual art, theatre, music, & dance. • All students meet for lunch and outdoor time from 12:00 to 1:00 PM • Students should bring their own bag lunch. • Sharing Day Performance is on May 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Corning Auditorium. 29
