WEEK 1 - ACTORS CRAFT (TS2393A-C)

Every actor needs to have a strong foundation of craft and technique in order to be emotionally free on stage. This workshop teaches basic, concrete tricks of the trade to help both novice and experienced performers expand their skills.

WEEK 2 - MONOLOGUE AUDITION PREP (TS2393B-C)

Tuesday and Thursday June 27 & June 29, 2032

Have an audition coming up soon? Want to crush it? This workshop teaches actors how to find and choose audition monologues, acting techniques for staging, interpreting and performing a monologue in an audition, and basic audition etiquette. Each student will leave the workshop with 2 contrasting monologues that are age and type appropriate.

WEEK 3 - CREATING A CHARACTER (TS2393C-C)

Tuesday and Thursday July 11 & July 13, 2023

How do actors create believable, relatable and interesting characters from clues in the script? How do actors create characters when there is no script? In this intensive, you'll learn techniques to breathe life into characters off the page AND discover the characters that live within your imagination.

WEEK 4 - SHORT FORM IMPROV(TS2393D-C)

Tuesday and Thursday July 18 & July 20, 2023

In this fun workshop, students will have a blast playing improv games and learning improvisation skills and techniques. This intensive is for both newbies to theatre improv and actors with improv experience who are looking to hone their skills.

For current and aspiring FAA dancers. Dancers rotate through training in each of FAA's dance genres: ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and tap with additional training periods focused on body awareness/yoga/Pilates. Led by Creative Director of Dance, Howard Washington, and facilitated by FAA and guest Summer Dance Intensive prepares dancers for the 2023

All dancers considering auditioning for an FAA dance company in Fall of 2023 are strongly encouraged to attend. The intensive culminates with an informal performance for families on the closing day.
