STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs and feeder lambs were sharply lower. Slaughter ewes were unevenly steady and slaughter bucks traded mostly steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded 5.00 – 6.00 higher, while slaughter nannies/does were steady and billies and wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 33 percent slaughter lambs, 12 percent feeder lambs, with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 57 percent slaughter kids, 40 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs are sold on a per cwt basis and goats are sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
