STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs traded steady to sharply higher, while feeder lambs were mostly steady. Slaughter ewes were unevenly steady and slaughter bucks traded mostly steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded unevenly steady, while slaughter nannies/does, billies, and wethers were steady. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 35 percent slaughter lambs, 13 percent feeder lambs, 16 percent replacement ewes, with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 60 percent slaughter kids, 30 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
