STATE AND FERERAL REPORTING Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady. Slaughter ewes and slaughter bucks traded steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded 10.00 – 14.00 lower; slaughter nannies/does were steady. Slaughter billies and slaughter wethers were steady this week. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 56 percent slaughter lambs, 10 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 53 percent slaughter kids, 39 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
