STATE AND FERERAL REPORTING No trend to compare since the barn was shut down for two weeks. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 46 percent slaughter lambs, 4 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 53 percent slaughter kids, 39 percent nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.

USDA-CO Dept of Ag Market News • Sterling Livestock Commission Company - Sterling, CO • Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for WED, July 18, 2018 Compared to last sale: No trend is available as the last reported sale was over a month previous to today. Demand and trade activity moderate to good. Today’s run consisted mostly of home raised, yearling type cattle. In feeder cattle, the run consisted of 82 percent steers, 18 percent heifers. Approximately 90 percent of the run weighed over 600 pounds. The total run consisted of 69 percent feeder cattle and the balance in slaughter cows and bulls. The next available report will be August 1, 2018.
