There is a slight time delay in the action, so for any live bidding you will also need to make arrangements with the Mobridge Livestock Market far enough in advance. Visitors welcome at the ranches, advance calls appreciated. Pictures of the horses in the sale were taken in July. Weanlings will have been caught and handled, and a halter will be given with every horse sold.
SALE TERMS
The highest bidder is to be the buyer. If any dispute arises between two bidders, sole authority to settle the dispute as he sees fit is reserved by the auctioneer, and his decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Terms of the sale are cash; personal checks are considered cash. All Canadian buyers must pay in U.S. funds or equivalent.
Horses are at the buyer’s expense, risk, and responsibility from the time of purchase, but no delivery will be made until final settlement has been made. The buyer must make arrangements for the care of his horse if it is not taken on sale day.
All registration papers will be held by the sellers until all checks clear the bank, normally about two weeks. At such time, they along with the transfer forms and fees, will be mailed to AQHA for transfer
to the new owners. Buyers will be charged the $40 transfer fee on the Quarter Horses, and this will be added to the purchase price. If they are not a current member of AQHA, they will be billed another $65 membership fee by AQHA before papers are returned. If any buyers wish to obtain papers on sale day, they must pay in cash or certified check.
Health certificates will be issued for transportation purposes sale day on request by Oahe Veterinary Clinic. Horses will all be Coggins tested. Brand clearance available.

The genetic mixture of cow and speed are well matched in these horses, and we are amazed at the feedback as to the different disciplines they are exhibited in and the successes they achieve. Their conformation, bloodlines, and good minds really do shine through.

This is our fifth crop of foals out of Bullet and he is still proving to pass on his substance, conformation and disposition. He is extremely easy to handle and work with, and the foals take right after him. His youngsters are starting very well under saddle and will be showing up in arenas and other places quite soon (just watch for that Five Arrow freeze brand on the right hip). We have been hearing a lot of high praises about the versatility of the Freighttrain B’s as they show up in barrel racings, roping events, bulldogging and virtually any other discipline. It confirms our thoughts that this outcross will be great on all the fine cow and speed bred mares in this part of the country. Take a look at what this stallion has to offer you. “Patron” is a son of FA Rockstar that we unexpectedly lost at an early age. Rockstar was a son of Eddie Stinson bred with a ROM granddaughter of Streakin Six. Before his death, he had produced some very competitive horses for us. He carried a powerful pedigree with Eddie Stinson (SI 111) by Dash Ta Fame (SI 113). Eddie Stinson progeny are very successful in the futurity races and he himself had LTE over $200,000 and was the 2021 #4 leading sire of barrel and speed event money earners. Dash Ta Fame does not need an introduction as his legacy is monumental. Patron’s dam is an own daughter of millionaire sire Frenchmans Fabulous who is a 7/8 brother to Bozo and Dinero and is the #1 siring son of Frenchmans Guy. When Rockstar passed, he had already sired a son (Patron) who we had intended to compete on. But with our purchase of a few new fillies to breed, we needed a young stud to cover them. The decision was made to start Patron’s training and decide if he should be kept a stallion. When we asked the trainer how he did, two thumbs up and big smile sealed the fate of Patron who then became our junior stallion.

This dam was supposed to be our next performance horse but she got hurt so we decided to put her in the breeding pen. This filly is closely related to lot #3 as that filly’s dam is also this filly’s granddam. Streakin Executive “Sundance” was purchased from the Heritage Sale in 2021, being one of the first colts in KVN Corona’s first foal crop. His sire, KVN Corona, had over $800,000 in LTE during his race career. For progeny earnings KVN Corona has had over 9,000,000 on the track and over 52,000 in the barrel pen. Many of his colts are just starting out in their barrel career, so we are looking forward to seeing what happens in their future. As for Sundance, he is big boned, strong muscled, athletic, and has some exceptional manners. In this past year, Sundance has settled about 85% of our mares. Sundance may be young, but he and his colts has a promising future. Note that the color of some of his colts may change.

He exemplifies the best of what the speed horse, cow horse, and rope horse industries have to offer. Easy April Whiskey, who is by Paddys Irish Whiskey, a NRCHA All-Time Leading Sire with producing over $1.5 million in earnings. He has also produced 35 AQHA World and Reserve World Champions in versatility ranch horse, cow horse, curring, reining, calf roping and team roping. He pretty much has covered every event and is also a very popular cross in the speed horse industry. BHR Missy Special“Silly Filly” has raised many successful colts in her time and is not slowing down at the age of 26. Progeny that has been successful during their time are horses such as BHR Flashing Effort, BHR Guys Flash Me, and BHR Light My Fire. Even though Silly Filly has had many of her progeny succeed on the track, there have been a few that have excelled in the arena. BHR Rockin Dude is one of these progenies and can do anything his owner puts him up to from running barrels and poles to roping and sorting cattle. After BHR Light My Fire was done with his racing career, he eventually went to Canada and became successful in the barrel pen as well. Missy Special is one of the kindest mares on the ranch. This colt is destined to become successful like many of his siblings and has the kind eye and disposition to go with it. If he were she, he would not be leaving the ranch.

Oh Ella Ella Ella“Ella” was purchased from Frenchman’s Quarter Horses a couple years ago. With many famous barrel horses in her pedigree, Ella brings something new to the BHR roster. Needing no introduction, Frenchman’s Hayday was the horse that could do it all. In 2005 he was voted in 3rd place for the AQHA/PRCA Heeling Horse of the Year, as well as carrying Sherry Cervi to 3rd place for the NFR Average. Having LTE of over $400,000 and progeny earnings exceeding over $10 million. One of Hayday’s most famous progenies is DM Sissy Hayday, commonly known as Sister, rode by Haily Kinsel and being a well-known barrel horse. Along with Hayday, Driftwood Ike is an old classic, placing high in the 1960 AQHA High Point Open Steer Roping. Driftwood Ike has also proven himself to be one of the greatest sires of all time, producing colts that have different disciplines in rodeo, roping, and regular ranch work. On the paternal side, there is Flingin Jameson. He may be young, but he has the pedigree to prove himself. A Streak of Fling has over $13 Million in progeny earnings and many successful barrel horses, while Paddys Irish Whiskey is a very good horse in roping, ranch horse, cow horse, cutting, and reining, with LTE of over $1.5 million. Flingin Jameson himself is currently being used as a cow horse, rope horse, and speed horse that is quite successful in all industries. For Flirt N Fling though, has proven that she has the pedigree, muscle, and the athletic ability to be the best in disciplines of rodeo and ranching.
As a younger filly, Flash Me had quite a race career, probably being the best out of our program. In her career, Flash Me had an impressive race record of 10 starts, with 5 wins and 1 third, coming out to a total of over $29,000. Along with this great success on the track, Flash Me has a great disposition. In Flash Dance’s pedigree, she has many of the top bloodlines in the racing industry, as well as having a very good disposition on both sides of her pedigree. With all the speed and agility in this filly’s genetics, she will find the leaderboard.

BHR Jessie Winz has become more popular with our customers. Her wonderful disposition, muscle, and amazing speed on the track has made this mare’s colts some to look at. With a speed index over 90, making her a AAA mare, she has passed the speed on to her progeny. One of her progenies is BHR Mocha Egg “Mocha”, by BHR Super Frost. Currently in barrel training, Mocha has a knack for running the barrel pattern, being a 1D horse in her early futurity career. As for this filly, her mother has had some colts that have went to the track, some that have went to the barrel pen, all being successful in their specific area. This filly has some potential in either the track or the rodeo pen, with the muscle, speed, and disposition to help her in the process.

Like her siblings, Missy’s Best “Baby” has a lot to offer phenotypically and genetically. She is related to BHR Frenchie’s Socks, making her even more impressive. Baby has had many sharp looking colts that have topped previous sales. This filly is no exception. She has muscle and a lot of style that combines speed and the ability to turn a barrel going back generations. And like many of her siblings, BHR is one to put on the list.

This little filly is very sharp looking. A very balanced filly that has quite a bit of muscle. Kasey Long Dash is a stout made mare with plenty of bone. Most importantly, all of Kasey’s colts all have an excellent disposition, with a very quiet nature and the kindest eye. With the athleticism and disposition in her pedigree, this filly can be destined to be successful in the rodeo pen.

Miss Speedy has been a super broodmare for us. She has raised the 2015 Dash and Dance barrel futurity winner and this year’s flashy filly colt is a half maternal sibling to her. Miss Speedy is the only one left out of three full sisters that had the same dam as Frenchie’s Socks. Frenchie’s Socks progeny have tallied up over $6.5 million in earnings and number 13 all-time sire for leading money earners. This filly colt is certainly one of those colts that was made to get things done and win.

Like her sister Courageous Lady, Leah comes from a superior mare line. However, these two mares are very different in appearance. Fast Streak is a very balanced colt, with lots of bone and muscle. Like many of his siblings, Fast Streak is always one that consistently stands out in the pen and has a sharp look. With a strong maternal line and plenty of consistency, this one isn’t one to look away from.

Courageous Lady comes from a superior mare line, going back to Meter Me a Lady. Last year, Meter had the top selling colt out of the Dakota Breeders Classic Sale. All of Meter’s colts have been consistent with muscle and a quiet disposition. Courageous Lady is AA Mare on the track by Captain Courage. Dancing Lady is a nicely balanced filly with muscle, as well as a kind eye. Her half sibling is barrel training with Rose, a repeat customer in Nebraska by BHR Frenchie’s Socks and is doing quite well. BHR The Bomb Dot Com“Dot” has done many firsts for our racehorse program. For starters, she was the first of our horses to win the 1880 Futurity at Canterbury Park, the Dan Locke Derby at Miles City, as well as qualifying for the Gilette Derby at Energy Downs and the Altoona Derby at Prairie Meadows. With this exceptional race mare is crossed with Streakin Executive, commonly known as Sundance around the place. With this combination, there are several double crosses of famous horses in the breed such as Corona Cartel and Mr. Jess Perry. Along with some of this race, this colt has some of our most famous BHR horses crossed back in her pedigree like BHR Missy Socks and BHR Super Frost, as well as being related to BHR Frenchie’s Socks. Just like her mother, Bombs Away has grit, determination, speed, and a whole lot of muscle. Phoebe is beautiful, heavy muscled, and stout made. During her time on the track, Phoebe won the SD Bred Futurity as a two-year-old and got second in the SD Bred Derby as a three-year-old. After she came home from the track, she became a wonderful mare. Her first filly was by Coronas Dun Playin and went to a repeat buyer in Texas. Her second colt was a gelding out of Breakin Da Bank that was too young to sell in the sale. Currently, he is being broke to ride. This colt has the potential to be successful in any discipline that he is in, whether it is a racehorse, or rodeo horse you will always be the talk of the town. This colt may be one of the younger ones, but he is one to find sale day and not turn a cold shoulder too.

Lucky Success “Lucky” has had two colts so far, both fillies. They are both quick learners and have plenty of shape and muscle. The combination of old genetics with the latest genetics of today, creates an enormous amount of potential for speed and quickness. Little Dash has raised top sellers year after year. Her offspring have had success at all levels, from large open barrel races to youth rodeo arenas. They have been sought after by ranchers, ropers, and barrel racers of all ages. This will be her first colt sired by Streakin Executive. QT Poco Streke was an APHA World Championship Reserve Reining Stakes winner and Reserve Champion at the American Quarter Horse Congress, where he competed successfully against AQHA reiners.
