Just as a garden flourishes with care and perseverance, The Family Place nurtures hope, growth and healing for those facing hardship Every life touched by The Family Place is a testament to resilience, blossoming against the odds

Tonight, your support is more critical than ever You are helping sustain programs that offer refuge, empowerment and new beginnings to thousands of women, men, children and cherished pets

Over the past year, The Family Place has provided 42,140 nights of emergency shelter, 20,805 nights of transitional housing, and delivered 4,480 hours of counseling. Prevention programs reached 9,448 young minds, planting seeds of knowledge to stop violence before it starts By standing with us tonight, you are sowing the seeds of change, helping to end family violence and grow a future full of hope

We are thrilled to honor Lindsay and Chuck Jacaman this evening for their years of extraordinary support. Lindsay’s dedication as a board member and volunteer has been a radiant bloom in our garden steadfast, graceful and deeply inspiring.

Lindsay has long been a passionate advocate for survivors of domestic violence, serving with heart and purpose during her time on The Family Place Board of Directors Her thoughtful leadership, combined with Chuck’s generous spirit and shared commitment, has helped cultivate meaningful change and lasting support for the families we serve.

ABOUT THE FAMILY PLACE

In 1978, a group of community volunteers organized The Family Place as one of the first family violence shelters in the state Today The Family Place is one of the largest family violence service provider in Texas, with three emergency shelters providing 168 shelter beds each night, including the first shelter for men and children in Texas We served 40,150 unduplicated individuals last year providing 42,140 nights of emergency shelter, 20,805 nights of transitional housing, 4,480 hours of counseling, 6,970 case management sessions and 6,601 hours of court-ordered psychoeducational groups for batterers All services are provided in Spanish and in English

Carnations symbolize admiration, love and distinction. They come in many colors, each with unique meanings, like pink for affection and red for deep love.

January February March April

Daffodils, with their sunny faces, symbolize new beginnings, hope and prosperity. They are one of the first signs of spring, carrying the promise of renewal and joy.

Violets are a symbol of loyalty, modesty and faithfulness, often associated with true love.

Daisies embody innocence, purity and love. Their simple beauty speaks to a pure heart.

Lily of the Valley signifies sweetness, humility and a return to happiness. Its tiny, fragrant bells are a sign of hope.

Water lilies, graceful and serene, symbolize purity and rebirth, floating elegantly over still waters.

Roses, timeless and classic, symbolize love, beauty and passion in all its forms.

Gladiolus flowers signify strength, integrity and infatuation. Their tall, sword-like stems echo resilience.

Morning glories, blooming brightly then fading, represent the fleeting nature of love and life.

September October November December

Chrysanthemums, with their wide variety of forms and colors, signify loyalty, friendship and joy. In many cultures, they are revered as a symbol of longevity and happiness.

Cosmos flowers symbolize harmony, peace and orderly beauty.

Holly, with its vibrant berries and sharp leaves, symbolizes protection, good fortune and festive cheer.
