Originally qualified in civil engineering, he’s worked in project development and the financing, procurement and delivery of utility-scale renewable projects in New Zealand, the UK and in France where he’s been based for the last 14 years.
In 2022, Andy co-founded the French branch of Harmony Energy to develop the company’s activities in the country, including starting the construction of what will be one of France’s largest battery energy storage systems to be delivered in 2025.

Tim Aanhane joined LeydenJar, the next-gen battery scale-up in The Netherlands, in 2021 and has since then integrated the novel silicon anode in batteries for AI-powered wearables, smartphones and drones. The sealant can be used in a thin film alongside a primary seal to stop ingress of salt water or water into the joint between the battery lid and the case.
