Welcome to the 4th Annual Westchester Women’s Summit!

It is a privilege and an honor to welcome you! Thank you for being a part of my passion project! Your being here is a testament to the need for places like this for women to learn and grow. I am so glad you came!

I am grateful for the many individuals and companies who joined me to produce this unique day of empowerment. I am thankful for the connections and collaborations that led to today. Every sponsor, speaker and partner is a critical part of our success and I feel so very, very blessed to have your support and endorsement.

Today is a about a movement - it’s about women helping women. It‘s about creating a space for inspiration, advocacy and self-care. It‘s been my experience that when you put women together connections are made, solutions are found, and things get done. We also pay homage to those who came before us. Be sure to check out the “Westchester Women Who Made History’ posters in the Discovery Village. It is only a sample of the local she-roes that paved the way.

The stage, the church, and the trail are all the same to me.

Places I go to praise my homebody: into a deep breath, a necessary sigh, super girl pose, tree pose, and a cup of tea or glass of wine depending on the time.

Praise the women who tell our stories. The words they found in blood and past down in the middle of a great cry. Start a writing group in a vegetable garden. Be massive like vines or water.

Praises to the Highest. Oh, what a merciful -merciful, merciful God. Oh, what a wonderful-wonderful, wonderful God. What kind of ancestor do I want to be? What will they call on me for?

Praise the movement forward, the inner knowing. What more can be done with this breathe? Praise the run, the release and the answered prayer. The details in the trees and the freedom in between.
