Dear Friends, On behalf of our Board of Directors, our gala committee, and the entire CRC staff, we would like to thank you for joining us at our 22nd annual gala. Tonight’s event is about resiliency, courage and community. The fact that we’re together virtually – but still TOGETHER – is just another example of how we’re moving forward. We are grateful for each and every one of you---our countless volunteers, our incredibly generous donors and supporters but also for our clients. Together we make our community better. Even during this incredibly difficult year, the spirit of our community could not be destroyed. From day one of the pandemic, neighbors stepped up, organizations teamed up, and the community worked together to ensure the most vulnerable among us made it through. Tonight, we’re going to inspire you with stories of hope, resiliency and cooperation. We are honoring the Coalition for Community, and recognizing the contributions of each organization that stepped up and told those suffering: you’re not in this alone. For 22 years our organization has proudly served and strengthened the immigrant community in Westchester County. We are proud of our accomplishments and recognize that we could not have delivered on our mission without you. Because of your support we have been able to directly respond to our clients’ needs during this incredibly difficult time. We ramped up vital case management and legal services for families at risk, particularly by establishing our Emergency Response Fund. Even while our own team members were sick and quarantined, we found ways to respond to the crisis and continue much of our traditional programming. We accomplished this adapting our core educational programs virtually and creating socially distanced workforce development programs. We strengthened our partnerships with community advocates and allies to ensure our clients received the help they needed. But most of all we provide hope during a time that feels hopeless for so many of our clients. Thank you for your support and for standing with us to protect and empower immigrant families. As we look to the future, we know we face many challenges ahead but we are confident we will meet those challenges head on, and we will do everything we can to keep Moving Forward! In Solidarity,
