Clean, Deep and Dark Web
e have seen and noticed for long regarding internet the endless virtual world. We have seen food, groceries, etc. being delivered at our doorstep. Information which was found only in books are now being accessed in our ﬁngertips.
For most of us we use one of the search engines to search for any information in any of the leading search engines. However, we do not know what is in existence beyond our day to day browsing. John Prakash Jha (CEO and founder of Netsach), said that while the internet appears to be a ﬂat ecosystem on its surface, there are actually numerous diﬀerent layers at play. In reality, there are three major areas of the Internet to diﬀerentiate between: 1. Clear web 2. Deep Web 3. Dark Web The clear web, also known as the surface, normal or open web, is the internet that you usually use on a day-today basis. These are websites that have been made available to the general public and are indexed by search engines. You can also access them using regular browsers, for example, Chrome. In contrast to the open web, the deep web is not available to the general public, nor is it indexed by search engines. However, unlike the dark web, deep web pages exist to keep various things operational. You can access the deep web using standard browsers. Examples of entities that use the deep web include banks, hotels, and libraries. Thirdly, you have the dark web. It is inaccessible via regular browsers, and it is not available on sites that are indexed by search engines. To access the dark web, you will require software that is compatible with the Tor network. The dark web uses complex systems to turn user IP addresses anonymous. That makes it extremely diﬃcult for your online activity to be tracked or traced back to a particular address. The deep Web is qualitatively diﬀerent from the surface Web. Deep Web sources store their content in searchable databases that only produce results dynamically in response to a direct request. But a direct query is a “one at a time” laborious way to search. Tor stands for The Onion Router, and millions of people use it each day to access the dark web. It works by wrapping itself around your message, thus forming layers of encryption to achieve anonymity. Subsequently, searches and messages don’t directly arrive at the destination you intended, keeping your identity anonymous. Five ways to protect yourself using dark web 1. Use a VPN 2. Beware of malware 3. Use a dedicated browser 4. Stay Anonymous 5. Familiarise yourself with the governing law 16 | March 2021
Few cyber security facts being picked up from various sources: 95% of cybersecurity breaches are caused by human error. The worldwide information security market is forecast to reach $170.4 billion in 2022. 88% of organizations worldwide experienced spear phishing attempts in 2019. 68% of business leaders feel their cybersecurity risks are increasing. On average, only 5% of companies' folders are properly protected. Data breaches exposed 36 billion records in the ﬁrst half of 2020. 86% of breaches were ﬁnancially motivated and 10% were motivated by espionage. 45% of breaches featured hacking, 17% involved malware and 22% involved phishing. Between January 1, 2005, and May 31, 2020, there have been 11,762 recorded breaches. The top malicious email attachment types are .doc and .dot which make up 37%, the next highest is .exe at 19.5%. An estimated 300 billion passwords are used by humans and machines worldwide.

They used to get printed sheets from oﬀset printers, laminate them and return them to the printer. His parents were pioneers in the ﬁeld and they started this way back in 1961. In a short time, he realized that this business may not have a bright future and wanted to start something new. They then started doing a fascinating work of fabric lamination. The laminated fabric found a use for shoe uppers, upholstery, curtains, school bags, and luggage bags too. In a world that was demanding newer things regularly, these laminated fabrics gave a completely new perspective and business soon prospered. However, the durability of the product became its bane and the buyers who wanted change, suddenly found that these products were long-lasting as well. In 1992 they closed down that business. Mr. Ajay was scouting for new business and they decided to move into the ﬁeld of self-adhesive materials. Since 1993, it has been a happy, learning journey. And to achieve that it is important for us to break the neverending cycle of wanting to achieve more in order to be happy. The workplace would be a lot happier place if one instils this culture of gratitude. But often, like all the other programs run in the corporates, thinking of doing it and actually doing are two diﬀerent stories. It means changing the culture of the workplace, and as a leader it is your responsibility to do it eﬀectively.

Start the day by entering the oﬃce with a cheerful smile, this way you change the mood of environment, the employees will reciprocate and likely, it will change their moods, will keep them cheerful and positive-minded for the rest of the day. Give your employees a reason to be thankful. Some days you simply love your job and some days you
just can’t help but hate it. As a leader you have to ﬁnd ways in which you can take your workplace a step further than what is expected of the normal workplaces. Make your workplace a place where the employees will enjoy going. If the employees dread going to the work every day, it is this negativity that spreads and can aﬀect others too. Let the work place not be concerned entirely with work. Conduct a few weekly activities, or discussions and debates, in short, make the workplace a happening place.

It has been a very challenging journey full of the learning experience. We work very closely with our team. You cannot achieve success without your team. Our focus is to develop leadership skills in each of the team members and prepare them for a larger role with growth. his theory of ﬁve competitive forces was given by Michael Porter, and is also often called as Porter's Five Forces. This theory proves to be a powerful tool to understand the competitiveness of the business environment. With it, you can identify the potential proﬁtability of your strategies. This is important for the growth of your business because when you understand the factors that might aﬀect the proﬁtability, you are then free to make changes in your business strategy, adjust it accordingly without any eﬀect on your proﬁtability.
Let us look at Porter's Five Forces, how they can have an impact on your long-term proﬁtability and identify the strengths and weaknesses of your business. In this analysis, Porter recognized that all the organizations are most likely to keep a watch on the rival organizations. But he encouraged the leaders to look beyond their competitors and look at the factors that could impact the business environment.
What makes up the competitive environment? 1. Competitive Rivalry Competitive Rivalry is the number and strength of your competitors. Here you look at the questions like How many rivals you have? Who are they and what is the quality of their products and services? How does it compare to yours? The companies can implement strategies like aggressive price cuts and strong marketing campaigns to attract the customers where there is intense rivalry. 4. Threat of Substitution Threat of substitution is when your customers ﬁnd something that is similar to what you do. In some cases, it can also be cheaper and a little better than your services. Thus a substitution that is cheap and gives more or less the same results can pose as a serious threat to your business. This will weaken your position and also have an impact on the proﬁtability. 5. Threat of New Entry Other than substitution, what is more dangerous is the threat of a new entry. How easy is it t enter your industry? If it is easy and it takes a little eﬀort to enter the market, it is certain that your rivals will enter the market and weaken your position. But if your barriers to entry are strong and durable, then you will be able to preserve your position in the market with favorable proﬁts.
According to Porter, these ﬁve forces are the key sources to the pressure in industry. It is important to diﬀerentiate these factors and not confuse them with the other causes like the growth rates, government interventions, and even technological inventions. Because these are temporary factors whereas the Five Forces are permanent. So in order to not let the competition sweep you away, you need to stress on each of the forces and note your observations. Next you need to think of the factors that are relevant to your market situation. And then lastly, summarize the size and scale of the diagram. This process will give you an insight on how and what factors are aﬀecting your business. You can reinforce necessary changes to improve your industry position and with it also increase the proﬁtability of your business.
