ANNUAL REPORT 2024
THE ENERGY COOPERATIVE’S OPERATION ROUND UP FOUNDATION
OPERATION ROUND UP FOUNDATION, INC.
By Spencer Barker, Board Chair
As Chairman of the Operation Round Up Foundation, it is an honor and a privilege to continue the work started by so many dedicated individuals before me—including my parents, who each served as Chair of this Board. Their commitment to the mission of community giving has inspired me, and I am proud to carry forward their legacy.
Over the past year, the generosity of our members has allowed us to make a meaningful impact throughout our communities. By rounding up their bills to the nearest dollar, our cooperative members have turned small contributions into significant support for local nonprofits and community projects. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded $5,005,563.84 in grants to support food insecurity, emergency assistance, education and community development programs.
In 2024, our funding highlights included multi-year support for the new Licking County American Red Cross Blood Donation Center, assistance for multiple fire departments throughout our service area, and the purchase of beds for individuals in need in the Mount Vernon area. Each of these initiatives has directly improved lives and strengthened our local communities.
Our Board remains committed to responsible stewardship of the funds entrusted to us, ensuring that every dollar donated is used effectively to create the most significant possible impact. We are grateful to our members for their continued participation in Operation Round Up and to our partner organizations that work tirelessly to serve our communities.
As we look ahead to 2025, I am excited about the opportunities to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Together, we can continue to make a difference— one rounded-up dollar at a time.
Thank you for your generosity and
commitment to our community.
Yours
in service, Spencer Barker, Board Chair Operation Round Up Foundation Board of Directors
