ANNUAL REPORT 2022

THE ENERGY COOPERATIVE’S OPERATION ROUND UP FOUNDATION

OPERATION ROUND UP FOUNDATION, INC.

Looking back on 2022 brings a wonderful feeling of accomplishment as I consider how many non-profit organizations our Foundation has had the opportunity to help. With a Board of Directors so well-connected with so many of our local communities, it’s been fulfilling to watch Operation Round Up’s impact. The Foundation plans on 2023 being just as impactful, if not more! The Board of Directors is looking forward to new projects and partnering with new organizations. With many recent efforts to educate and communicate regarding our grant opportunities, we’re happy to report record lifetime numbers of giving in December. Operation Round Up is exciting to see where they can continue to make a difference.

Operation Round Up is thrilled to report that during 2022, the total grants funded were $314,165. The grants were awarded to organizations spread across a variety of communities in The Energy Cooperative service area. Working through the grant application decisions can be incredibly challenging. However, our directors strive to maximize our members’ dollars in the best ways possible.

Along with the impactful grant dollars awarded, participating members’ dollars also provide educational benefits through scholarships. Last year, the board of directors awarded over $20,000 to students to continue their education. In addition, three scholarships are in memory of Bruce A. Sumner and John C. “Jay” Barker, who significantly impacted The Energy Cooperative and our community. Thank you so much for believing in our young adults; it greatly affects their journey.

The Operation Round-Up board members and I sincerely appreciate The Energy Cooperative members, whose participation was incredibly beneficial to so many in 2022. Please consider joining me in our efforts to spread awareness of our grant opportunities.

Yours in service,
