Dear Parents, Sisters, Alumnae, Faculty, Staff, Board Members and Friends, Welcome to Elms Gala: Vogue Masquerade Ball 2013! We are pleased that you have chosen to join us tonight for this wonderful celebration. Gala Coordinator, Kate Kleski ‘93 and her superb team of parent and alumnae volunteers have worked tirelessly to make this 36th annual Elms Gala a tremendous success. We thank them all for their time, talent and energy. A standing ovation is deserved for the following individuals and organizations for their ongoing support: The Lehner Family Foundation, The Bernard Family Foundation, Brennan, Manna and Diamond, First Merit, Fifth Third Bank, Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP, Tremco Inc., Carter Lumber, Rich and Joni Hite, Chris and Anita Sears, and Swensen’s Drive In. Silent Auction Procedures • All items in the silent auction have bid sheets attached. Bidders must write their bidder number and the bid amount on each item sheet. • Each increase in bid must equal or exceed the minimum bid stated on the card in order to constitute a valid bid. • Each new bid must be written on the topmost blank line on the bid card. • The first category of the silent auction will close 15 minutes after completion of the oral auction. Subsequent silent auction categories will be closed as the auctioneer proceeds through the sections. Bidding continues until the auctioneer circles the highest bid. If two or more bidders want an item, the auctioneer will hold a mini oral auction. Payments may be paid by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover. Payment in full is mandatory at the close of Elms Gala 2013 unless otherwise stated. • By accepting their assigned number, all bidders are agreeing to having read these rules and are bound thereby.
