Prisons: A Reflec on of Our Society

Strength and Mobility Workshop with Cam (In-Person)

Date: December 2 and December 9 Time: 1pm Cost: $10 For Members/$20 For Non-Members This interac ve, in-person course will go “behind the bars” and offer an in mate and humane look at the U.S. prison system from the instructor’s perspec ve and professional experience. Par cipants will gain an understanding of the different types of prisons according to security, hear reflecons from the author’s book, “Finding Light in the Darkness”, and discuss programs that are successful in keeping people out

Bio: Dot Walsh is a peace chaplain, author, educator, and prison chaplain for 15 years.

JANUARY REGISTRATION COVID INFORMATION

This modifiable, intermediate level workshop can be easily adapted to accommodate different needs and capabili es. It will mainly focus on light strength training to build up muscular strength with some balance and mobility work. The intervals are slowly paced with minimal up and down movement. Limited light weights will be available for use at this workshop or bring your own.

Cam Miller is a local personal trainer with educaonal experience in human anatomy. Cam teaches individual and group classes for individuals with special and differing needs, older adults, and children.
