Message From the Executive Director

November is known for the month to be thankful (shouldn’t that be every month?). It is also known as the month to honor our veterans, the month to vote, to watch football, “No-Shave November”, and the month to enjoy turkey while spending time with our loved ones.

Here on the Ranch, we are creating another tradition with the Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff on November 19. At the event, you can enjoy music, food and a beverage. For an adult beverage, there will also be a beer garden. We hope that you will attend this great event.

This month in November we had a leadership meeting with the subassociations. It was great to meet with the Board members of the 11 associations within Dobson Ranch. Dobson Ranch United will meet quarterly with the Dobson Association Board of Directors and the sub-association boards, to discuss events, improvements and what is on the horizon within the association. By working together, we hope to build upon and strengthen our community success.

On November 5th, the Desert Rivers Audubon Society sponsored the Tour de Bird and featured the Dobson Ranch xeriscape garden. You may have read about it in last month’s Roundup. Donna Chapman not only wrote the article, she recommended the location and oversaw the tour at the garden. Mrs. Chapman informed us that the Society sold twice as many tickets compared to last year, in part, due to the publicity in the Ranchers’ Roundup. She also shared that those visiting were impressed with the garden and Dobson Ranch itself. Many had shared with her positive comments about the Dobson Ranch Community. Thank you, Mrs. Chapman, for recommending the garden and overseeing the event. The success is due to you and your involvement.

Board Member, Stacy Holmstedt, created an Abraham Lincoln mosaic that she entered in a competition at the Arizona State Fair. Stacy has been making mosaics for five years; her exhibit at the fair won 4th place and was also selected for the Director’s award. Congratulations Stacy! We are always looking for stories showcasing our residents’ involvement within Dobson Ranch and our greater community…please share with us you and your neighbors successes.

Message From the Board President

I called the October 20, 2016 Dobson Ranch Homeowners Association Board of Directors meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Here’s a recap…

The first item of business was my President’s Report… Staff recently installed a new bench at Los Altos; it is the first bench of our branded items being created. New sign holders, benches, and lighting are being made all with the same overall look and DR logo. The sign holders that have been installed plus the bench have received accolades. We are excited to be creating a cohesive look throughout our amenities with these logoed items; many thanks to our Facilities team and the Master Planning Committee for bringing this project to fruition. Check these out when you are out in the community and look for more to come.

Scalping and winter rye seed planting are happening, in fact Laguna Park is nice and green…ready for Spooktacular and Fall Festival. This year staff has decided not to do winter rye at the Lake 3 common area or in the retention basins and is applying a preventative weed control, in turn, creating a better Bermuda lawn next summer; this was successfully done last winter at Frisbee Park. Dennis, Associate Director of Facilities, wrote in last month’s Roundup about the plan. I also noticed the City installing new landscaping at the corner of Alma School and Keats; this area has long since had irrigation and fencing issues, staff has worked with the City of Mesa as well as homeowners in this area to beautify the space; it’s nice to see this project coming to completion.

I reminded attendees of a couple of events coming up in November. Tour de Bird is on November 5 from 9 to 4 at the xeriscape garden. Our third annual chili cook off and beer garden will be featured at the Fall Festival November 19; be sure to join us, this event always proves to be a good time.

Under “New Business” the Board reviewed and approved the following business items: “Celebrate Sound Walk” usage of the Los Altos pathway for the walk, Late Fee Policy change for late fees on unpaid assessments, to proceed with getting quotes for keyless entry at our facilities, and to install flexground surfaces under strategic areas at our playground equipment.

Please join us for the next Board of Directors meeting Thursday, November 17 at 7 pm in the La Casita Grande Room.

The Fall events at Dobson Ranch were fantastic! I sure enjoyed getting to meet some of you and I hope you have had fun at them too. It’s time now to relax, be with family and friends, gobble up some turkey dinners, and root for your favorite football team before our winter lineup of events begin.

Winter Wonderland is coming up on December 3rd, with snow, games, activities, and a lighted boat parade. Jolly ol Santa Claus will take a break from the North Pole on December 10th and join us at Breakfast with Santa. These events are a pleasure to attend and sure to delight everyone young and old.

More information on these great activities can be found in the recreation section of this issue and on dobsonranch.com.

This is a wonderful time of year to be generous and cheer someone up. La Casita is a drop off location for Vice Mayor Dennis Kavanaugh’s toy drive that benefits the patients at Cardon Children’s Medical Center. New toys may be dropped off through December 9th. Boxes will be available at the Winter Wonderland event as well. Details about the toy drive can be found on page 25 of this issue.

I’m ready to sip some hot chocolate, get my warm snuggly sweater and fuzzy boots ready and see you at the next great Dobson Ranch event!

2017 Assessments

Your Neighborhood

The Board of Directors has once again approved no increase to the Assessments for 2017. The assessment will remain at $138.60 quarterly ($554.40 annually). Thank you for your contribution in making Dobson Ranch “the best place to live!”.

As a reminder, assessments are due on the first day of each quarter; January, April, July, and October. A late fee of $15 will be charged quarterly if your payment is not received by the 20th day of the first month of each quarter.

There are several options for paying your assessments: 1. Automatic monthly payments can be made through ACH (auto debit to your checking account). Please complete the form that can be found in the “Documents & Forms” tab on our website (www.dobsonranch.com) and return it to the administration office along with a voided check.

ACH payments are run on the 5th of each month. The payment will continue to be drafted from your account until you give the Association notice to cancel the ACH. Please note that accounts on ACH will not receive future payment coupons. Notice of any assessment change will be published in the current year October or November issue of the Association’s official publication, the Ranchers’ Round Up. 2. Annual, Semi-Annual, or Quarterly payments can be made by check, cash, debit or credit card. Payments may be mailed to or dropped off at the Association Administration or Recreation departments. Please be sure to include your account number when remitting your payment.

Please note that debit or credit card payments cannot be accepted over the phone. Monthly payment is not an option through mail or drop off.

3. Using your bank card, credit card or e-check, automatic and one-time payments can be made at the Dobson Association website (www.dobsonranch.com), by clicking on the “Assessment Payment Portal” (green dollar bill on the front page of the site). If this is the first time you have made a payment on this site, it will be necessary to set up a “New User Account”. Once logged in, select the one-time payment or auto payment option. If setting up automatic recurring payments, click on Menu, click on Auto Pay, and enter your information. Once you have set up the auto pay, the payment will continue to be processed until you stop the payment or make changes. If you are currently setup on recurring payments through the payment portal, please be sure that your payments are set to continue through 2017.

4. You may also send in recurring payments if using automatic bill pay with your personal banking institution. When setting up the payment through your bill pay program, please be sure to reference your account number and property address to ensure proper credit to your account.

2017 Association Board of Directors Election to Utilize Online Voting The Dobson Association 2017 Board of Directors election will utilize online voting. A postcard will be sent to homeowners with all the details at the end of February, 2017. More information will be included in future Ranchers’ Roundups.

Three positions will be open for a seat on the Board of Directors. Candidates are needed. Please contact the administration office at 480-831-8314, if interested.

Voting helps to guide association policy and the future of your community. It is an important aspect of community living. Please vote and attend the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Members and Celebration.

Buckets of Water

I was busy in my back yard the other day cleaning up or rather repairing some drip lines. Those big box orange buckets come in real handy for bringing all the tools and parts needed to fix those exasperating drip line leaks. They also make clean-up a breeze. I was pleased with my efforts to keep the drip lines functioning correctly, smug even.

Then it rained, not just the short downpour usually associated with the storms that come through, but “just a little rain falling all around,” a gentle rain that lasted most of the day. In the end that gentle little rain had deposited something over a half inch of rain. The next day I went to look at my repairs and found they were doing just fine. On the way back to the garage I noticed the bucket I had been using had about one-half inch of water standing in the bottom. No big deal, it will evaporate over the next several days. Wrong! The next “several days” is just enough time for the Aedes mosquitoes to incubate and hatch. And guess what the Aedes mosquito carries? Among other things, it can pick up and transmit the Zika virus.

Arizona lies within the natural range of the Aedes mosquito. One feature of this pesky critter is that it does not travel far, only about 300 yards - which makes it easy to control. Just make sure there is no standing water within 300 yards of your home. Easier said than done, but doable. If everyone would remember to turn their bucket over when finished, that would be one less breeding spot. The next step is to look closely at the irrigation system around the house. Is there a broken spray head that is flooding the planter or other basin? Or are there places where water could sit for several days? It never hurts to look around now and then just to make certain spray heads and drip lines are working properly, but more importantly they are not creating a pool of standing water.

Keep up the effort, I look forward to seeing you at the Fall Festival.

Remember, water makes living in the desert possible - make the best of it.

Are you willing to better the community and offer help when needed? Then consider running as a candidate for the Dobson Ranch Board of Directors.

If you’re considering running for the board, we ask that you take a few moments to ask yourself the following three questions: Do I have the time?

As a board member, you will need to devote at least several hours of your time each month to Association business. During special projects, you may need to spend a little extra time on association business. Some board members may also spend a little more time than others if they work with a committee.

Can I make tough decisions when it’s required?

The primary role of the Board is to conduct the business of the Association.

This doesn’t just mean approving the budget, but also developing and enforcing policies. Board members are required to step outside their immediate circle of family and neighbors and make decisions based on the greater good of the community.

Can I do all this and have fun, too?

It isn’t all about policies and tough decisions. Our community is only as good as we make it, and establishing and maintaining a sense of community is a part of a board member’s responsibility. Planning and attending functions and being a presence in the community are as important as any policy decisions you may make.

Being a board member can be frustrating at times, but it may also be one of the most rewarding ways you’ll find to volunteer your time. If you’re interested in running for the board or would like more details about board’s responsibilities, please contact the Administration office at 480-831-8314.

Champions of Energy Efficiency The Dobson Ranch Condominiums Association [DRC] was honored by SRP at the Champions of Energy Efficiency Awards on October 18, 2016.

The complex was the First Runner up in the Small Business category with an annual energy savings of 65,397 kWh. Holiday Lights Holiday decorations are lovely to look at and enjoy. Here are the guidelines for holiday lights and decorations from the Amended Residential Architectural Guidelines. SECTION 2.10 HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS 2.10.1 HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS Holiday decorations will not require approval if installed no earlier than thirty (30) days before a holiday and removed no later than twenty-one (21) days after a holiday. Any variation from these time periods will require approval of the ACC. The ACC reserves the right to request reasonable modifications to holiday decorations if deemed appropriate.

Tour de Bird Featured Dobson Ranch Garden The Tour de Bird event, sponsored by Desert Rivers Audubon organization, was held on Saturday, November 5. The Dobson Ranch Garden at 2451 W. Kiowa was one of the featured gardens. If you weren’t able to participate in the tour, take a moment to stop by the garden and visit. Some of the plants are in bloom and you might be able to do a little bird watching also.

Dobson Ranch Garage Sale, Clean-up and Shred

Dobson Ranch is a bit more beautiful after the recent clean-up.

Residents bought and sold treasures at garage sales, vehicles filled the City of Mesa dumpsters with tons of landfill material and green waste.

While all that was taking place, boxfuls of documents were shredded.

I am happy to announce that our Fall Break Camp was a success. A special thank you to Melody, Gracie, Perla and Mallory for working the camp and making it enjoyable for the kids, you guys did a great job. The weather is finally starting to cool off and December is right around the corner. We have some exciting programs to end the year.

The Winter Wonderland event is on December 3rd at Saratoga Recreation Center. Kid activities from 1:30-3:30pm including snow, crafts, and games. Evening activities are 6:30-8:30pm include hot cocoa and cookies, carolers and lighted boat parade. Breakfast with Santa is on December 10th at La Casita Recreation Center. Tickets are on sale now for the event, space is limited. Please come out and support our community.

Fishing licenses and boat permits for 2017 will be going on sale December 1st. Prices will remain the same this year. Fishing Licenses will be $13 for individuals (seven years of age and older) and $30 for a family of four. Boat permits are $15 for non-motorized and $35 for motorized watercrafts. Stop by La Casita to purchase your licenses or permits.

Happy Thanksgiving! I love this season. We have so many things around us that we can be grateful for. One of my many things is working in this wonderful preschool!

It’s such a warm, close community we build. One that can last for many, many years. Do you know that I still keep in touch with students that are now in high school?! Dobson Ranch has given me a place to flourish as a teacher and feel loved by so many children and families. An incredible feeling! What are you grateful for this year?

One of the many crafts that I have continued to do over the years is this sweet paper bag pumpkin. It is so easy to make and looks so sweet as a fall decoration in your home. I just had a parent tell me they still have theirs (after 6 years) and put it out each fall.

Materials: Paper Lunch Bag Orange Paint/Paintbrush Newspapers Rubberband Green Yarn/Ribbon How To: Crumple the newspaper and stuff it into the bag. Twist the top to resemble a stem and put a rubberband around it to keep it in place. Paint!

Once it is dried tie the yarn or ribbon around the top.

Dobson Ranch Pontoon Tour/Ride Info There will be no pontoon rides scheduled from December 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017.

A one-time “complimentary” pontoon ride per property is available to residents. Tour fee is $35 per hour with a two hour maximum. Reservations are available through the Recreation Department and are subject to weather and availability. Other rules and restrictions will apply. Table and Chair Rentals Make your next at home event great with the convenience of renting tables and chairs right in your community. The Dobson Association not only rents out facilities for private rentals but renting of chairs and tables not held on a ranch facility are also available. We can accommodate a rental up to 140 metal framed folding chairs and 15 rectangle 6 foot by 3 foot tables.

The resident must schedule to pick up and drop off the chairs and tables at La Casita Recreation Center. A refundable security deposit of $50 minimum is due in cash or credit card payment to hold your reservation. The rental cost per chair is $0.50 and $5 per table. If a rental request is within 10 business days there will be an expedited fee 2 times the rental amount. Reservations can be made at the La Casita Recreation Center and include a 14 day cancellation policy.

Dobson Ranch Tennis Academy

Adult tennis Dobson Ranch offers a full-range of programs and playing opportunities for ages 16 plus and ability levels. We focus on developing the complete player who can perform in any match situation at any level. Our tennis pro combines technical, mental and physical elements of the game to help build confidence and conditioning to ensure a positive, successful and fun experience.

Adult Learn to Play These 5 week classes, will introduce the social aspect of the game when groups of players come together to learn at the same time. To teach the skills of tennis to a class, tennis group drills have been formulated. Mixed double matches are played after structured 30min warm up drills to help condition the body for competition. These drills are meant to be fun and entertaining while also developing the skills of each participating player drills!

Tennis Drop Shots For the younger player with some degree of tennis experience. This program will place emphasis on the word “FUN” in fundamentals. These tennis students will already have learned the basics of tennis and are able to hit two consecutive shots in a rally. These students are ready to learn tennis scoring and rotation and will learn to serve consistently, along with proper footwork, strategy and shot technique. Classes meet once a week for 4 weeks. DR Pickleball Group Reverts to “Winter” Hours

You often hear tennis referred to as “the sport of a lifetime.” And it’s true. Tennis is a sport that anyone of any age can play successfully. Many people say that you need to start playing early to be good at tennis, but I disagree. I’ve met many tennis players over the years who have picked up a racquet late in life and become very talented while getting great enjoyment from playing. Tennis is an excellent way to stay active and healthy, as well as feed the competitive side of any athlete.

Often at tennis clubs, you see many adults of all ages playing – and some are just beginners. That’s what makes tennis great; you can pick it up at any time, and it becomes an addictive and communal pastime. It’s easy to get hooked on the challenge of the sport and the drive to become better every day. You strive to hit forehand shots like Roger Federer or backhands like Serena Williams, and soon enough you are playing the sport for the rest of your life. Along the way, you’ll find yourself building lifelong friendships and camaraderie with your fellow teammates.

So the next time you’re looking for a fun and challenging way to spend an afternoon, consider picking up a racquet and hitting the courts.

Employee of the Month The Dobson Ranch Recreation Department would like to congratulate Scott Mitchell on being the department’s November Employee of the Month. Scott has been with the recreation department for 5 years. Scott has done a wonderful job balancing his work and school schedule and is always available to work our weekend shifts. We can always depend on Scott to provide exceptional customer service for our weekend rental parties. Scott also is very flexible and willing to switch shifts to accommodate the other staff. We appreciate you Scott and congratulations.

Dobson Ranch Pickleball survived another summer of searing heat and 7 am starts, and has now returned to our fall to spring schedule at the Los Altos Courts. Effective October 10, we resumed our regular 8 am start time for group play on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Night play under the lights on Tuesdays starts at 6:30 pm. Play typically continues for two hours, sometimes more, but players do come and go throughout these sessions.

Our Fifth Annual Pickleween Tournament was October 29th and results will be reported in the next Roundup. These tournaments are held periodically to foster some friendly competition and simulate tournament level play. The format is typically a roundrobin tournament, with mixed doubles to the extent possible. Our tournament director Frank Mizner assigns teams in an effort to achieve balanced competition as much as possible. We like to be done in about two hours. Preference is given to DR residents, but guests are welcome on a space available basis.

Beginners are always welcome during group play and will receive basic instruction from regular participants and use of members extra paddles while getting introduced to the sport. Please wear appropriate court shoes. The best times to show up are Tuesday nights or Saturday mornings.

Remember, these courts are provided by the Dobson Association for members and their guests, and playing time is not limited to our published group play hours. The Los Altos courts are available anytime for members with a key from 7 am to 10 pm every day of the week. Another great benefit of homeownership in Dobson Ranch!

2017 Boat Permits and Fishing Licenses Go on Sale December 1 The weather is perfect for outdoor activities, like ple fishing and boating at one of the beautiful lakes at exam Dobson Ranch. Fishing licenses are required (catch and release only) and boat permits are required for all watercraft (size restrictions apply).

Licenses and Permits may be purchased at La Casita, 2719 South Reyes. Boat Licenses are $35 per motorized boat (electric motors only) and $15 for non-motorized boats and a maximum of 3 permits. Fishing Licenses are $13 for an individual and $30 for a family (up to four). Children 7 years and up require a license.

Halloween Spooktacular

It was a Howling good night for over 2,000 goblins, ghouls, kids and adults at the recent Dobson Ranch Halloween Spooktacular.

Thanks to the Dobson Ranch Recreation Department, the vendors, sponsors, volunteers, clubs and committees that helped make this a spectacular event! Yummy food was for sale by Taste of New Mexico and the Down Under Food. Footz made some magical balloon shapes, free pictures were taken by Walgreen’s and Lakeshore Mortuary, and there were bounce houses and carnival games. Goodies bags were handed out as the excited trick or treaters made their way down the sidewalk collecting candy from 17 clubs, committees and vendors. There were scary, cute and original costumes represented in the costume contest sponsored by Dairy Queen.

Even when darkness crept in the festivities continued with movie time in the park and the showing of Goosebumps. This is an annual event and just one of the many reasons that makes Dobson Ranch the best place to live!

Can you believe we are almost at the Holiday Season? We at the Retiree’s Club are getting into full swing.

While we are active year round the cooler temps allow for more outside activities.

Arnie is planning some great bike rides for all riders, whether you are a Slow Spoke or Free Wheeler he will take you for a fun ride. Don’t forget your helmets!

Ed has got some great hikes planned starting on November 2nd.

Including such places as Papago Park, Blevens Trail, Lost Goldmine Trail, Grand Enchantment Trail, Balance Rock Trail, Butch Jones Trail, Hieroglyphic Trail, Pass Mountain Trail, North Trail. Whew, I am tired just writing about them. For more information about the trails and what difficulty it is rated, contact Ed. Don’t forget all our regular activities also, Dinner Night, Men’s breakfast, Happy Hour, Ladies Lunch, Game and Movie Day. Please note Movie day is being moved to Tuesday Nov 22nd as the last Thursday is Thanksgiving. We also have our general meeting, which includes, a free lunch provided by some of the best cooks in the neighborhood and served by the friendliest of faces.

Our general meeting is a great place to come and voice any new ideas you would like to bring to the club to help us make it a place where we all belong and feel welcome.

The fall festival is November 19th at Laguna Park. Please visit our retiree’s booth for brats, hotdogs, chips and soft drinks. There will be live music, a chili cook off, games and contests. What fun!

I read an article last week about volunteering. It was written by Karina Bland in the Arizona Republic. She spoke of how when she asked for volunteers, she would call about 20 people but only the same five always helped. Don’t get me wrong we love all our wonderful volunteers but would love to see more of our members getting involved, even it is nothing more than to bring a box of cookies, cleaning a table or helping cook or set up. We have lots of activities around Dobson Ranch year round, including Breakfast with Santa, Spooktacular, Fall Festival, Easter and more. These all require someone pitching in and helping make them happen. It is a very rewarding feeling especially when you see the smiles on the children’s faces! There is nothing better. The Spooktacular is especially fun as you get to see all the great costumes and all you have to do is hand out candy.

Get involved and stay active, your heart will love you for it.

Fish Club

By Ed Ricci The Coots Are Back Some coots are starting to show up on our lakes. They are black birds that are actually in the rail family, and that associate with ducks. They migrate from the north part of their range to the south, including Arizona. Soon, there will be large flocks of migratory coots on our lakes. If you go to Saguaro or Canyon Lakes, there are large resident populations. You can also recognize them feeding on the grass around our walking paths- slipping into the water when you walk by. You can also recognize them as they become airborne with difficulty- running along the water surface before taking off. It will be interesting to see the mix of migratory birds that utilize our Dobson Ranch lakes this winter!

So you ask- what does this have to do with fishing. As the days shorten and the water cools and the migratory birds show up, fishing becomes better and more versatile on our lakes, until “winter” in January. I had been mostly catching my bass on plastics in July and August, almost entirely drop shot and shakey head rigs. I am sure some of you were catching fish with other techniques. The top water bite that was strong through early summer disappeared for me. Now, I will go back to top water in the mornings and evenings. Swimbaits, crankbaits including rattle traps, and all plastics will be in play as the water cools and the fish become more active. The optimal temperature for bass is around 70 degrees and we should be right around that temp when this article is published.

The forage base in our lakes is outstanding. We had a very strong spring and summer spawn. I even noticed some very tiny bluegill fry swimming around my dock in early October. I was surprised that they had spawned that late in the year. Our bass population in the Dobson Ranch lakes is nicely balanced as are the catfish.

Speaking of catfish, check out this huge flathead that my buddy Jeff caught in one of our lakes when we were fishing for bass. He caught it on a shakey head jig with a 5-inch swimbait bouncing it off the bottom. It took about 20 minutes to get in, and he had to use two hands to pull it in the boat. The fish was released for another day.

Coffee with the Councilmember

Vice Mayor Dennis Kavanaugh held his 50th and final “Coffee with the Councilmember” on October 21st at the beautiful Mesa Community College Rose Garden. Vice Mayor Kavanaugh began holding “Coffee with the Councilmember” in 2008 as a way to meet the community and highlight neighborhood places. Now eight years and 49 coffees later, it was time to say goodbye as he completes his term on the Mesa City Council.

For many people holiday travel will include furry family members. There are many options and things to consider when making plans for these hectic months.

Travel by Plane: Each airline has its own specifications and requirements for pet travel. Most will require a health certificate which has to be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of travel. Some airlines will allow pets in the cabin while some will require pets to travel in the cargo hold.

If traveling in the cargo hold is the only option, be sure to ask if the area is climate controlled.

Travel by Car: If you are planning a car trip with your fur baby, the first step will be to take a ‘test drive’. Take your kiddo for a 20 minute car ride and see how they react. Some pets think it is an amazing adventure while some pets become very anxious, and some fur babies can even experience motion sickness. There are medications that can be prescribed by your veterinarian to help make car travel as painless as possible.

Boarding your pet: If bringing your pets along is not the best option, there are several boarding facilities throughout the valley. Make sure your pet’s vaccines are up to date to prevent illness from being in close quarters with other pets.

Also giving a dose of flea and tick preventative is a good idea as well. To prevent incidence of stomach upset, bring your pets normal food in pre-portioned baggies.

Do not hesitate to contact your veterinarian with any questions or concerns you may have to make the voyage with your fur baby as painless and stress fee as possible!

Save the Dates for Merry Main Street in downtown Mesa For the second consecutive year, Merry Main Street, presented by SRP and the Arizona Coyotes, will bring thousands of holiday revelers to downtown Mesa. The spectacular celebration of the season will be held Nov. 25 through Jan. 1.

The festivities begin Friday, Nov. 25 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with an evening of music, food, and fun for everyone. Beginning with a program and tree lighting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. at Main Street and Macdonald, you can spend the evening strolling through downtown enjoying the sights and sounds of the holiday season.

Merry Main Street will again feature the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink of more than 4,000 square feet that will be open for 40 days.

Last year, it attracted more than 10,000 ice skaters.

Other key attractions at Merry Main Street will be the Jack Frost Food Truck Forest, a large holiday tree that is more than three stories tall and Santa’s Selfie Village. Friday and Saturday evenings will feature arts, crafts and local vendors along Main Street. Watch for more details as we get closer to the event at www.merrymainstreet. com.
