We’re approaching the time of year where an oven-roasted turkey with all the fixins turns into delicious leftovers and turkey sandwiches. Our Hot New England Turkey Sandwich recipe offers a take on the latter, while also adding a touch of a gourmet grilled cheese. We pile on the fall flavors by combining West Creek® Maple Syrup and Magellan® Nutmeg and Cinnamon for a spread that screams New England. To achieve maximum comfort food, sear on the griddle so that the Heritage Ovens® Marble Rye turns a buttery, golden-brown, and the West Creek Yellow Cheddar Cheese melts and blends into a fall feast.

Hot New England Turkey Sandwich Ingredients

West Creek Maple Syrup

West Creek Whole Egg Mayo

1/8 tsp. Magellan Nutmeg 1/2 tsp. Magellan Cinnamon 1 ea.

Serves: 1

In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, mayo, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Lather the inside of each slice of marble rye with autumn spiced mayo.

Add better burger leaf lettuce to the bottom slice of bread topped with turkey, sliced apple, cheddar, and your second piece of marble rye.

Add 1 T. of salted butter to a hot griddle and 1 T. to the Peak Granny Smith Apple, thinly sliced top of the sandwich. Sear on griddle until you achieve a golden-brown crust.

preparation Sauté leeks, celery, and butter in a large soup pot.

Add curry, and cook 5 more minutes. Add turkey stock, mix well, and bring to a boil. Simmer about half an hour.

RIDGECREST® CHICKEN BASE Rich flavor with zero grams of trans fat and reduced prep time

Add apple, rice, turkey, salt, pepper, and thyme.

Simmer 15-20 minutes, or until rice is done.

Remove half of the rice, turkey and apples and set aside. Place the soup in a blender or use a hand wand to puree the rice remaining to thicken soup.

Return the rest of the garnishes to the soup.
