We looked at the usual suspects and found Happy Kitchens advertising in a local magazine. We invited several kitchen companies and Happy Kitchens in to provide designs and quotations for a new kitchen so that we had a range of options to select from. The resulting designs were similar and the quotations were all in the same ball park. However, Ben was by far the most helpful as a potential supplier and this was important for us. He was more interested in ensuring we were happy with what he was proposing, he also advised us about disposing of our existing kitchen and where we could get the best deal on our new kitchen appliances. The kitchen is fabulous, the fitting team are fantastic, well skilled and dedicated to making your Happy Kitchen perfect. They have a work pedigree that includes high end luxury boat building so their work quality is exquisite. You just need to keep them fueled with coffee and they also take away all the rubbish. I would happily recommend the Happy Kitchen team to anyone. Mr Hensman

MAYOR OF FAREHAM SHOWS SUPPORT FOR LOCAL MARIE CURIE COLLECTION One of the collectors (pictured on the far left), Linda Slatcher recently experienced the new nursing service as one of the local nurses had cared for her late husband. She couldn’t sing the praises of the service highly enough, even saying that she felt she and the Marie Curie nurse had become more like friends through the process.

Sophie Geary, Community Fundraiser for Hampshire said, ‘Marie Curie’s local fundraising group members run this collection every year with great success. Andrew Kemp, Joscelin Williams (pictured second from the right and far right) and Geoff Marden speak warmly of all the support that is always shown to the charity when they are out collecting.

The Mayor of Fareham, Susan Bayford, attended Marie Curie’s Christmas collection at the Fareham Shopping Centre on the 7th December to hear children from local Fareham primary schools sing Christmas carols. The Mayor was seen swaying along to the Christmas Carols being sung by the children and she made an effort to speak to everyone taking part in the day. She spoke at length with Sophie (Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie) and Fiona about the new nursing service, saying ‘I hope the collection today brings in lots of support for you’.

This year they raised an incredible £421.31 at the Fareham Christmas collection. Commenting that they get more people wishing to share their stories with them since the new service came to the area.’
