The class will then go to one lesson at a time rather than a six week course… We will teach Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba and Cha cha and a bit of Jive. We also teach Argentine Tango, Salsa and Viennese Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Paso Doble, Samba, plus Classical and Modern Sequence. But these will be taught once students have learned the basics. Ingredients... 4 tea bags 20g pack 100g caster sugar juice 2 large oranges, plus slices to serve juice 2, plus slices to serve 400ml Pimmâ€™s No. 1 a few sliced strawberries plenty of ice to serve! Put the tea bags and half the mint into a large jug, then pour over 1.2 litres boiling water from the kettle. Leave to infuse for 10 mins, then remove the bags and stir in the sugar. Once cool, remove the mint, add the orange juice, lemon juice and of course Pimmâ€™s, and chill in the fridge thoroughly. This refreshing drink can be made up to one day ahead. Serve this devious drink over plenty of ice to get the cool refreshing beverage you are after! Once the Pimmâ€™s has been poured over the ice, add the remaining orange, lemon, strawberry slices and mint sprigs! Then pour yourself a glass and enjoy this perfect summer drink!

Ingredients: 400g pork fillet 4 tbsp light muscovado sugar 1 tsp fish sauce 60ml cider vinegar 1 tsp Small pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into chunks (or use ready prepped fresh pineapple, drained well) 1 green and red pepper, deseeded and cut into squares (optional) 4 spring onions, trimmed and cut into 4 equal lengths Small bunch coriander, chopped (optional) Cooked rice or pitta, to serve 1 courgette cut up (optional)

First cut the pork into cubes. Heat the sugar and vinegar on a low heat in a pan until the sugar melts. After adding the fish sauce wait for the skewers to cool. Tip in the pork and mix well so that all the cubes are covered in sauce. Heat the barbecue. If you are using coals, wait until they turn white. If you are indoors, heat a griddle pan. Thread the pork and pineapple onto skewers, alternating pieces with the pepper and spring onion. Barbecue or griddle the skewers for 3-4 mins on each side (you may need to cook them for longer if griddling). To finish off your delicious summer dish, sprinkle your skewers with coriander, if you like, then you can either serve with rice or slide into pitta breads.

The Holiday Inn Winchester has been working closely with the spa and wellness expertise of leading spa designers SPA Creators to design and develop a luxury spa and leisure facility within the four star hotel.

Treloar’s was thrilled to welcome back thirty former students to a reunion event on 8th June.

The new ANA SPA and Wellness will be part of the hotel’s £2.5 million refurbishment project, which also includes their recently opened Odyssey Restaurant, Bar and Pizzeria plus a new Open Lobby on their upper ground floor. The new spa will be located on the lower ground floor and will open in July 2019 and will include a private screened outdoor terrace, five luxurious treatment rooms offering peaceful spaces for visitors to be pampered plus gym, studio, sauna, steam

All the former students had attended Alton College whilst residing at Treloar’s. Some had not been back since they left while others had visited since the School and the College merged onto one site. All were excited to see their fellow students and reminisce about their time at Treloar’s. Several stood in front of the group of over 70 people, which also included former Treloar’s staff, to speak of what they have done since leaving and to talk about what Treloar’s meant to them. Kathryn Austen, Alton College Coordinator, was involved in the organisation of the event: “A truly inspiring day. So many former students returned to share their memories of Treloar’s, Alton College and their ups and downs since leaving. We supported 55 families last year with a home-visiting volunteer and over 25 families through the family groups. The issues presented by our families has changed significantly over the years and now over 60% of parents suffer from mental illness and 40% have a child with disabilities.
