Complexities of Branding With Email Marketing

By Garland L. McLaughlin Branding a marketing focus through email marketing campaign strategy is often time consuming and an exact science. Fancy email marketing companies continuously want clients to have the set it and then forget it mentality, but in the real world that doesn’t work. No matter how many auto respond techniques or social media profiles an organization has out on the internet it won’t matter if a quick and easy strategy is selected, because their campaign will never be seen.

From experience I know for a fact that there are multiple factors that will determine the success of an email campaign. Using the correct graphics and assuring recipients can opt out of receiving messages is also important. I know that if I received a message that was supposed to be viewed in a particular business style or manner and it was not, I would immediately delete the email message.

Giving the reader the right impression visually speaks volumes. Creating ideas for campaigns of specific nature require deep thought of the graphical context, as well as excellent copy structure of the message. If a concept is too hard to describe in just a few words then usually the graphics element of the email message will play a key factor in gaining the audiences attention and response. If simply using a graphic is not enough then your email campaign is going to have to be more than just an email campaign, it will have to be versatile.

I was once told that people generally don’t catch on to something unless they have been exposed to it at least three times. This saying has been a key element to the success of my overall email marketing strategy. Using a simple email even with all the enticing links and flash graphics doesn’t have a chance at making an impact unless the websites that links are directed to have the same quality as the email content or better. I tend to see that most internet marketers may come up with their own branded ebook or automated money machine email campaign, but the excitement cheaply disappears when a reader reaches the next pages.

Incorporating one idea that is similar to another can sometimes work, but in most cases it doesn’t due to the lack of attention each aspect of the campaign is receiving.

At each stage of the email campaign testing should be done to work out potential pitfalls that could steer the audience away from the message. Playing around with graphics and word fonts would be great if you’re an expert at constructing presentations. Like most people if you are not an expert it will be very important to be clear with your message, as well as simple. Creating too much clutter and options for the reader is a sure give away as to why people aren’t reading your message, and not taking you seriously.

Embedding correct links and codes into your email message is a great way to track the progress of a strategically designed email campaign. It also will help identify where your audience goes and where it comes from. Providing links not only helps the audience make a connection between them and the service or solution that you are providing, but it also brands into the viewers mind the website address. Too many marketers have got out of the habit of actually showing the link address that they are providing. In these days when everything is supposed to be fast and simple using a “Click Here” button replacement tends to make the reader think more about the whole action they are about to do. Again this would be a result of not keeping the campaign simple.

When people tend to think about if they should do something or not statistics prove that they won’t do it. People like to see where they are being led to instead of being told to go somewhere.

Once a viewer has reached the next stage of the processes by clicking a link, responded to the email, or took the liberty of calling a phone number that was in the message it is important that the next action gives the reader a sense of trustworthiness.

If the reader calls the listed telephone number and someone on the other end responds rudely or seems evasive then the email campaign was a waste of time. The same can be said when a reader clicks a link and it doesn’t work properly or the reader clicks the links and the concept branding was not in tune with the email message and the link page. Tying in everything so that it looks appropriate and in sync is a very time consuming task when organizations are developing their email campaigns. It takes up more time than actually putting together the copy and the graphics for the email message itself.

Lastly we must look at the over all goals for a specific types of email campaigns. Some email campaigns are purely informational, most others are revenue driven and will eventually require the reader to purchase something.

Revenue driven campaigns are a combination of art and science that play on the emotions of readers and get them excited about something they can obtain in just a few short minutes.

Developing tactics and key phrases that continuously keep the viewers attention, fluidly, come with experience, trial runs, and little creative know how.

The atmosphere isn’t bad at all, expanding will be the deli’s next move. With a community infused concept and delivery of quality and value added cuisine the CK Deli and Café enterprise is in the beginning stages of changing the way customers view restaurant quality quasi fast food.

Taking into consideration the service and value that the big fast food chains have quickly makes us realize that big franchise chains added value is really of limited value.

Correctly shaping and branding the image of CK Deli and Café will be a huge challenge.

With Omar and Gabe running the management of services which duplicates their techniques through their franchised concepts the industry will certainly be made over.

In reality there is much too much to try and give away with just one review.

Smoothies, omelets, burgers, salads, lattes and coffees are just the foundation to this well planned and crafted business. Industry specific services and promotions drive the deli forward giving CK Deli and Café’s strategic concepts a favorable nod toward delivering mass customizable dishes in a Grunge Luxury fashion.

Feeling a short knap coming on a regular patron stumbles over to the counter to address the barista about the lack of no dose that has evaporated out of his cup. It is very obvious that he will need another cup of JAVA, but he can’t seem to grasp the concept of paying for a refill. Why waist time with a little business JAVA TALK when it is apparent that you do not have the needed investment to complete the transaction?

“Sorry for the inconvenience and delay,” Ms. Exquisite Barista adds and comfortably acknowledged by the real paying customers, who are also discussing real facts and politics that engulf the social scene.

It is obviously an appropriate time for a little bit of a shake up in the day. The venue gets busy, then dull, regular customers have much to discuss with whatever electrons are on the other side of the communication device that they are interacting with. More adventures in the technology sector need to be investigated as a day trader still thinks the market is too volatile, unless your placing your money with Apple in a tech sector fund. McLaughlin Following a strategy that doesn’t leave room for adjustment is always going to lead a project down the wrong path, especially with the unlimited creative opportunity that has been made available to be taken advantage of. For example, if a company is looking to increase their visibility online with a limited budget and they must leave no room for error. The company better have a pretty clear and creative vision for the time and effort that is needed to go into the project in order to make it run smoothly.

Tightening budgets gives organizations an advantage that they rarely have been able to use effectively, the art of creative spin, advertising, PR, etc. SEO, online marketing, analysis, are all results of before hand marketing techniques that reach audiences and pulls them closer to understanding new concepts, ideas, and campaigns that are currently in action. Making both PR and SEO work hand in hand is an art form, science of precision, organization, and timing. Making a noise online is easy, but making a noise that makes sense is the most elusive factor that is gives skeptics the opportunity to believe that the combination of sciences and technology don’t need to be so complex.

In my professional opinion low or no budget strategy just means that multiple automated solutions must be in place working in tandem with each other, followed by realistic and timely human interaction. It’s not hard to tell that my favourite marketing strategies revolve around web based technologies. Getting to the core of what makes these tech toys work depend on creative and unique strategies perfected through testing and directing social media bodies.

Keeping up with niche marketing tech firms is not just a hobby for me, but it is an opportunity to analyse and distinguish one tech marketing firm from the other. Services may vary and results always vary. It is just important to keep a mental note of the firms that offer straight to the point explanations about how their services work and the results that they will bring.

Sitting down with Force7Media.com CEO Nikhil Jain gave me the opportunity to further explore the world of marketing through the eyes of technology and social media. “Social media has grown tremendously in web marketing these days, especially with the launch of new Google updates. So, on these lines, we are doing a lot of work on social media marketing and guest posting.

Infographics is another one of our services that has found a lot of takers,” Mr. Jain stated.

India is our home base and we will continue to have our headquarters here. But yes, five years from now, we should be able to have a few business centers in the US and UK,” Mr. Jain stated.

What happened to give you the idea to start a marketing organization that specializes in using web technology? “The Internet bug bit me when I was in my teens. But even as a child, I was extremely fond of computers. I launched my first website when I was 16 and around the same time I realized the enormous potential that the Internet presented for earning honest money. So, I started exploring various ways to make some quick bucks. I struck gold with Google Adsense. That added to my enthusiasm and I learned how to make websites. In the beginning, I did it for fun but got so interested that I turned it into my profession and studies, incidentally, became a part time activity. From then on, it has been a continuous forward march into the web world,” Mr. Jain answered.

It was great to sit back and converse a bit about the good old days of Mr. Jain’s youth which sounded a little like my own online ventures. In our talks Mr. Jain also gave clear insight on how his team operates on the international playing field. “We do regular business with a lot of clients from the United States. Almost 90 percent of our clientele in based there,” Mr. Jain stated.

Lately has business been picking up for your firm?

“Yes, we have experienced a very satisfactory boom in business and things are working in our favor. In a way, I must thank Google for it. Panda and Penguin have caused substantial trouble for a lot of businesses that have seen their ranking drop drastically almost overnight. So, we have website owners coming in to get their business back on track. We remove spammy links and implement the new SEO methods to get them back in business. The multiple channels available for networking have made it easier for us to contact new clients. Facebook marketing is an example and it is turning up good business for us.” Mr. Jain answered.

Tons of SEO companies claim to be experts in this craft what makes you all "the real experts"? “We believe ourselves to be the real experts because we have been able to remain in the forefront of implementing the latest trends and technologies that are released in the market. Our policy of being a dynamic company by evolving continuously takes us several steps ahead of static businesses. Also, we “understand” the market, rather than just being aware or knowing about the latest trends. This in-depth understanding enables us to analyze various options and choose the most appropriate ones to market our clients’ products. As a result, clients see quick results, without having to spend a lot of money. So, ultimately, our understanding makes us the real experts,” Mr. Jain answered.

Running the numbers always tell the real story and getting down to business is what really matters. The last question that I asked Mr. Jain was whether or not the business has lived up to his expectations? And why? Mr Jain answered, “Yes, I am pretty satisfied with the way things have worked out so far. With our understanding of the market, prompt customer service and high quality work, we have been able to please our clients. But I have set my expectations on a much higher stratum. If things continue to go the way they are progressing now, I believe that my short term goals will be met in the near future, and then I’ll raise the bar further. For me, it is a never ending process.”

Political Commentary

It was the clearest, most understood political Presidential election of my lifetime. It was not easy and of course opposition would throw in the doubts every now and then to persuade the public that a false sense of change was necessary.

Playing the subtle race card the whole way through, yea these conservative republicans are surely dying off quickly. From now on they want us all to think that we really just don’t know what we want. Well the new generation surely doesn’t trust an American Aristocrat that couldn’t win Massachusetts, or the state that he was born in. His running mate matched him with the failure to acquire any Electoral College votes from the state he represents (Wisconsin). I really can’t even mention this 1 term governor by name… well Mr. Patrick is the man now that is moving Massachusetts forward.

Civic duty and business success is one thing, but when it clouds judgments in the political arena that is never good. The political game is not a pure business game, nobody likes voting against some democratic spend show more than me. I do not like seeing my earned income reduced because a program against my principles will be given money from the government. In politics in order to make these ideas work for a candidate they must have a bigger reason why they are so appealing.

This is why we will all pay more in costs for goods and services, because we are willing to pay more even though times seem uncertain.

Of course the political spin rooms have been saying this for the past 12 years… moving forward just sounds good. It isn’t that we shouldn’t be moving forward, it’s maybe this time the President will get some support instead of criticism from across the isle.

I even hated to admit it, but sure the race card was very much in play. All races paid attention and did not let them deter from selecting to help build President Obama’s Presidential legacy. For those that didn’t pay attention it is clear from the national radio broadcasts that conservatives hold dear to wishing and wanting their idealisms to come true. This election is proof that the Presidency cannot be bought, it can only be botched. The other guy has been quite a fundraiser throughout the course of his career as a business speculator. It would be great if someone told these old school republican racists that no one plays their golf game anymore, it isn’t necessary. More people in a diverse variety of states prefer basketball terminology and gamesmanship to their slow and tired explanations.

America dealt both parties quite a fair hand.

All we can think about now is… Are we going to tumble off the fiscal cliff? It is bound to happen, and I also must admit these politicians are letting the price gauging corporations control them. In reality there is no real agenda, these politicians are giving up their best jigs to keep their power. The only interest they have with ordinary folks from the Midwest and South is to keep them blinded by broadcasting very confusing and analytically biased interpretations from their media. Sure things are pretty big down here in Texas, but the ideologies of the many are often distorted to fit a comfortable slow and simplistic view of things. In the north there is a somewhat different dilemma.

The few as well as the many have tricked each other into believing more government spending will get us all out of this mess. The lesson of history still doesn’t ring any bells and folks show no different approach to life than they have when the crisis first began. I really like this little movie that Kevin Spacey was in around 2011 called Margin Call. Political and economic forces know what is next and they are all selling off sharply to tuck the balance in their favor. This movie seems to sum up the political landscape of the country these days. The government gets its cut no matter what. We have seen this government do some crazy things in the past 10

The stall tactic is over and the critical thinkers of the day really are scared to tell the truths of about the lies that are evident.

The way this country has allowed outside forces to inflate the value of pieces of green paper with pictures on them, and put their values above real and sustainable value should be a real discussion and action approach on behalf of 100% of Americans.
