To clean the soot off your woodburner’s glass, make a paste of ash and water and rub on. The glass should look a lot cleaner.

To peel a label off a glass jar, rub it with cooking oil and leave for 30 minutes, it should just wipe off but if its stubborn, give it a blast with your hairdryer to help soften the glue. ( I personally use Lakeland’s sticky stuff remover, but am going to give the above a try). CK
