A Happy New Year to you all from the members of Micheldever WI. We are keeping our fingers crossed that 2021 will be the turning point in conquering the Covid-19 virus and that, at last, a positive is emerging with the beginning of the vaccination programme.
As we have been warned that despite the vaccine, we will still face restrictions, I thought I would keep our brains working by including two quizzes this month. A quiz is a popular time filler in a WI programme and used when speakers have to cancel at the last minute, or we have not been able to fill a space. So here are two – one is conventional and the second has a twist!

The First one is about the hidden towns and cities of the British Isles. The following clues represent towns and cities although in some cases the spellings of the answers may be slightly different. e.g. Men on a ship – answer Crewe.

My second quiz has a twist. Below are the answers–but what are the questions? As there can be more than one answer to some of the questions, this can be great fun played in a group to see who can come up with the silliest but accurate question.
