THE CONCEPT Using elements of Zen, and more specifically the idea of Yin and Yang, the workplace for Flower Bar and Savidge Photography is one that promotes both harmony and contrast. The work processes used for either company are starkly different, but at the same time these companies go hand-in-hand with one another. They are inherently opposite, but cannot thrive without one another. With that in mind, we used the relationship of Yin and Yang to influence the spacial arrangement, architectural languages, and color harmonies throughout the space.

EXTERIOR ENTRANCE The exterior of the building introduces the overall design aesthetic and helps guide you into the space. Zen stones, grass, and bamboo line the exterior and create a calming environment. The wooden beams run throughout the garden and continue inside, acting as a shading structure, as well as way-finding that leads you into the reception area.
