The Ultimate Companion for people with low/no vision Q is a smart cane designed for people with low/no vision, intended to assure, assist, and enhance the commute of the user.

PROBLEM STATEMENT 253 million people in the world have low vision and 36 million people are completely blind. Blind people are 3 times more likely to be unemployed, and 3 times more likely to be involved in a motor vehicle collision. The existing canes meet the needs of the users, but there are opportunities to improve the design.

Gives audio feedback to the user through the provided headphone

Side lights will automatically start blinking bright light when user arrives at a crossroad

Curved grip makes a universal handle thus releasing pain in the wrist area

The required placement of the sensors and lights are supported by the Q shape

Users can free up their hands by hanging the Q on their arm when performing other tasks

The product shape forms a hook, good for hanging the product and wireless charging

The triangular cross-section of the handle fits the natural grip

The triangular cross-section of the handle also provides distinctive haptic feedback

Extendable cane will form a strong stick
