Snapshot of the housing market
T
he housing market has seen many changes recently that will have a profound effect on the market – these changes are likely to become even more evident in the next 12 months. There has been a shake-up in the buyto-let market with stamp duty changes and tax incentives being withdrawn. However stamp duty for a normal transaction has actually reduced significantly with the chancellor giving with one hand and taking away with the other. We are also concered about how Brexit will affect the market. There was a small wobble to begin with and London has seen a softening of the market due to a combination of the stamp duty increases and Brexit. We have also had a drop in the base rate by a quarter of a percent – a little good cheer for the fevered brow of the home owner or wannabe home owner.
“The markets are a reflection of supply and demand – there are simply not enough houses being built to meet that demand” Recently the devaluation of currency is now dominating the headlines – this has its pros and cons. It is good news for exports as they are now more competitive, but bad news for imported goods. The question yet to be answered concerns when article 50 will be triggered, a soft Brexit or a hard Brexit – more to look forward to! Lastly, in summary, markets are a reflection of supply and demand, and there are simply not enough houses being built to meet this demand and house prices will continue to reflect this. W
e all know that it’s important to stay fit and active for our general health and wellbeing, and with government statistics showing a concerning rise in childhood obesity throughout the UK, it’s important that we encourage our children to stay active and engage in physical activity. Junior football is a great way for children to get involved in sport. As well as the positive impact on their health, there are lots of other benefits, such as making friends and building self confidence. Football also improves social, communication and team building skills – to be successful on the pitch a team must work well together, which means communicating with each other when playing and passing the ball. It can also help to building parent/ child bonds – football is an opportunity to share something that you both love. Playing sport regularly will also generally give children more energy, which in turn can lead to greater stamina and physical ability, and improved mental agility. It can also give greater focus, and is a positive addition to a child’s routine, giving them something healthy and enjoyable to focus on. SK Academy is a local football development centre who last month launched it’s latest centre in Stansted at Forest Hall secondary school. The main focus is to introduce young children from the local community to football, and learn the basics with other like minded children of the same age. The SK football development centres run all year round with weekly sessions during school terms, and during the holidays

The aim of the development centres are to teach, build, challenge and progress the physical and mental attributes of the local children. sing good typography in your brand will help build communication to your clients – it can help hold your brand structure, and define what kind of company you are. There are thousands of different typefaces available, and most have a purpose.
